Zoos remove them from their natural habitat and force them to live under inhumanely unnatural conditions just so the industries building zoos gain a profit. Sure there's nonprofits that rescue a few animals here and there but we can't save all the sick animals in the world.

"They would also be dead" if we didn't destroy their environments? According to this webpage animals would become extinct between 1,000 and 10,000 times less if we were not around.

First of all, the moon landing was fake.

    See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_land ... y_theories

    Secondly, we are stupid.

    I sincerely hope you're trolling.

I'm not. That's honestly what I believe. We will never be the smartest because there is an infinite amount of knowledge in the world. Compared to what their could be out there, we don't exactly know how smart we are.

Like Killertoad already said, the conspiracy theories regarding the moon landing are called conspiracy theories for a reason. They are merely speculation circulating around the fact that nothing is ever able to be proven, ever. Video tape of a robbery? What if it was staged? Photo of your friend stealing a laptop? It could have been photoshopped. Someone backs up your alibi for the night of the murder? Couldn't that person also be lying?

A large majority of the theories have already been debunked. Just check the Wikipedia page for crying out loud... The italicized text marks counter arguments.

And how have we protected them? By stealing their habitats, letting loose deadly greenhouse gasses into the air, and destroying the environment? Honestly other animals would be far better off without us slowly corrupting the Earth.

Of course it does. One of the effects of greenhouse gases is global warming. I fail to see your point...

xKelnorSo hey! I was speaking to a friend and he said that Humans were dumb. Instantly disagreed and asked for such reasoning. He said its taken us like 4 billion years to build a rocket and get out of orbit and we havent even been past the moon yet! He also said that its pathetic that wars still occur so im doing the same thing i did last time to settle this argument, asking you guys!

    I'll cite directly:

In place of inadvertent climate modification, Charney adopted Broecker's usage. When referring to surface temperature change, Charney used "global warming." When discussing the many other changes that would be induced by increasing carbon dioxide, Charney used "climate change."

Within scientific journals, this is still how the two terms are used. Global warming refers to surface temperature increases, while climate change includes global warming and everything else that increasing greenhouse gas amounts will affect.

    And you're telling me I can't read?

This is the basic concept of natural selection... Meaning any organism not fit to survive gets killed off, leaving more of the strong genes in the gene pool. If an elephant is so strong as to destroy an entire forest then that elephant was made to survive and the trees are in the way of that. The same applies for humans.

Six years doesn't change the definition of a word, the reputability of NASA, nor the fact that global warming is indeed a real phenomenon (although it may not be caused directly by roads/sidewalks). Climate change refers to the effects of carbon dioxide emission, global warming refers to the average increase in temperature around the world. Not opposites, though they are related.

Social hindrances are the main reason we haven't advanced as much as we'd like in science and other fields. There's always a small population of people that simply do not believe in science. Apart from this boundaries such as law are also in the way of truly advancing. Of course I'm not criticizing either of these things--skeptics have kept us in check and regulations have maintained our humanity. After all, we are not only scientifically more advanced than animals (clearly), but socially, intellectually, morally, spiritually, etc.

So to answer your question, yes, of course we are smart. Thousands (or millions? I have no idea when humanity technically started existing) of years of evolution were not put to waste.

    KJ_BuildingTeam
    xKelnor
KJ_BuildingTeamYup. Humans are dumb. If the world were ruled by animals it would be a lot better.

    Explain?

Look, animals would not create nuclear weapons or mow down rainforests.

Remember humans are animals too... And there would come a point when these animals need resources that cannot be obtained as easily from the Earth which would lead to damaging of the environment.

I think a point many people forget to consider is that as much as we'd like to exclude ourselves from the rest of nature and act as if we were exempt from natural selection, we aren't. If humanity destroys the Earth and leaves it to rot then we will die off ourselves.

AegleI wouldn't say that compared to animals humans are smart. Some animals are much smarter than we are, but people just don't see it. You might think animals are stupid, but, they survive perfectly fine in their own habitats, and always have done. The reason why people think we're smarter is because we invade, destroy and change their habitats, so they have to adapt. Think about the other way. If something came and destroyed our houses, our food supplies, everything, we wouldn't know what to do. That's because every animal is smart, but in their habitat. I'd love to see you dropped off in the middle off desert, where some animals strive but a generic human doesn't. Just think about it before calling animals stupid. You might say they don't have a language, but they do. There is such thing as "animal communicating", which my mother does, and it's pretty incredible. You don't communicate with words, it's all about your mind and "sending' images through your mind to the animal, something that, over the millions of years, the human race has forgotten to do. We have "chakras", that for Example we would use to "feel" tomorrow's weather, back in the caveman ages. Nowawadays, will all the technology all of this has blocked off, something humans can't do, yet animals can.

So, human are the dumb ones, even compared to animals.

Since when are animals able to communicate through their minds? And we have advanced technology and progress in the meteorology field of science to thank for weather prediction.

In regards to your point, of course humans would not be able to survive in the desert because most of us wouldn't be able to adapt quickly enough. Animals surviving in their own habitat does not prove their intelligence, merely how well their species have adapted to the resources that are available around them. Try putting a Galapagos tortoise in the desert and see how well they survive...

(Ugh, I'm already posting when I said I was leaving... whatever >.< )

Sorry to break it to ya, but you can't upgrade most laptops' graphics cards. Use the $1000 you (might) get to buy a new gaming desktop, or maybe upgrade your existing desktop's GFX. With one grand you can get a pretty state-of-the-art card... Just don't buy Alienware or Mac. Pieces of goddamn flibbidy *bleep*.

Chrome "sandboxes" all the web pages it runs (making them run on a kind of virtual machine), which means that little to no viruses can enter your computer unless you download something, as opposed to Firefox, which is slightly outdated and allows viruses to install themselves even if you didn't download anything. Internet Explorer's engine is just about as fast and useful as a wet towel. My choice is clear.

    The defense rests.

What about our favorite servers? What about the mature community we used to have? What about mods or texture packs? Skins? It's all gone. No launcher can fix that.

If this really happened which right now I doubt. You would not post it on a Minecraft forum. And you seem to be calm so please leave.

MemoryLeak21Because where it used to be a simple indie game where you build, mine, and craft, since Notch left Jeb has turned Minecraft into a corporate scheme to try to get more people to play their game. And you know what? It's working.

    EDIT:

Ace GingerI don't really hate Jeb, in fact I don't really care about that at all; but the 1.6 update has significantly lowered my fps (I used to get about 15, now only 10. Yes I know thats terrible, but I'm so used to it I don't notice the poor frame rate usually.) They shouldn't spend so much time adding new stuff, but instead make the game perform better.

    This.

Minecraft doesn't really use much recourses. There's not much Jeb can do about performance without nerfing basically a lot of the game. 10 or 15 FPS isn't good at all, invest in a new computer.

Java runs on a virtual machine, which itself tells you that some optimization could come in handy. Although Java is technically completely portable, it's highly inefficient with its resources as it has to create an entirely new "computer" inside yours to run. A better engine would be DirectX perhaps, but as people have said in the past, it would take time to port it to the new engine and Jeb wouldn't be as proficient in C++ coding as he is with Java, so it would probably be badly optimized anyway.

Dear God. He wants people to play his game? Blasphemy!

There is an old saying, "When the grass changes color, the donkey starves to death." I believe this is what you're referring to, as well as idiotic inbreds who can't seem to formulate their own thoughts and ideas--and this may be true in some cases--but I assure you those are not my reasons in the slightest.

Minecraft is losing its true purpose. Like so many have said, it's becoming an RPG (not saying it already is one) much like Skyrim where you can make potions, ride horses, trade with villagers, and make lousy half-assed minigames with redstone. All you used to have to do to figure out what the game was about was look at its name--it's about mining and crafting, as well as building. It was simple. So although there may be people whose only reason for going against Jeb is because there's other people doing it, those they're following, in my opinion, are right in their thinking.

Optimization of the engine, maybe porting the game to a new one, and all features being stripped down back to alpha. NO MORE HORSES. Honestly, Minecraft no longer needs updating. All that does is piss people like me off with useless features, make the game too bloated, and make modders' and texture pack artists' life more difficult. Minecraft Infinity, woot woot!

Minecraft... It used to be such a fun game. Now it feels bloated and feature-packed, not to mention the once mature community which has devolved into mindless CoD and PewDiePie fans. Rest in peace, Minecraft. May you find the beauty in which you once lay.
