(I've left my text styling off for this because it's important)
π What is fur farming?Fur farming is a cruel method of harvesting animal fur, solely for use in human luxury items like coats, scarves, shoes, etc. Animals including (but not limited to) mink, tanuki, foxes, and chinchillas are slaughtered by the millions annually around the autumn season.
Additionally, the horrible conditions in which these animals are kept actually contribute to the COVID-19 crisis. The lack of veterinary care, cramped wire cages, and poor genetic diversity have lead to an abundance of various diseases festering and spreading all throughout the world.
π
How can I help? You can help to end the needless suffering of these animals by:
- Signing petitions
- Donating to reputable animal protection and rehabilitation organizations
- Supporting fur-free businesses / Boycotting brands who still shamelessly use real fur
- Spreading the message!
