    hi everyone
    Nature X v9.0 will be released today. it restores the support of ctm, which means many exciting features that couldn't be implemented with vanilla only and required Optifine's ctm is added again!

    for Sodium this will require having the Continuity mod installed which allows Optifine's ctm to work perfectly with Sodium!
    not only that, it also support the emmisive feature of Optifine! so now many textures will glow up again!

    hi everyone!
    2 features are coming in the next update of Nature X [​8.2]:

    1) all logs will have a small branches
    2) all types of ice will have an ice spikes variant

    the 8.2 update will be released soon as it has many bug fixes.

    Heyo, I know its been a while since I worked on Heirlooms reloaded but just a quick announcement ::
    I will not be doing heirloom recolors except for Hopes Dawn as that is the only one ive completed :: another thing is I will only be making HEIRLOOMS(up until ash maybe) and possibly the Buster R2R5 :: If any recolors that you really want you have the free ability to add a custom texture :: you may be able to post the recolor AS LONG as i get credit :: And im currently working on Bangalores Cold Steel :: thats about the long yap sesh glad to back on modeling the heirlooms again

    Are you talking about the Buster R2R5 that was in the Apex x ff7 collab? if so... PLEASE! THAT WOULD BE SO FREAKING COOL!

    (You could also use this as a base if you want)

    hi everyone!

    phase 2 update of Nature V has been released!
    this update has many new features plus very important performance fixes.
    it revamps the coral reefs, mushroom fields, deep dark, nether, and the end biome! big improvement! it also fixes many issues with the last update and re-do many of the textures too!

    with phase 2 done, Nature V is almost identical to Nature X [​the Optifine version] if not better [​thanks for the new improved performance methods that i've used in Nature V].

    in phase 3 i'll focus on doing most of the overlay textures and adding many textures variants for many blocks, so stay tuned!

    Tomorrow i'm publishing my new pack Nature V, which is a Vanilla-Based resource pack that doesn't require Optifine and is compatible with Sodium and other mods.

    also thanks for Hippopotamoss for helping with some issues that i've faced during the development.

    thanks a lot for your amazing support, i appreciate it so much!

    i said it before, i’m really proud of v3 of Nature X, i can’t believe how much this version has improved this pack, to the point that i really can’t compare Nature X after v3 with the previous v2 and v1 of it as the difference is truly astounding!

    ik i’ve said before that the last update of v3 would be v3.10 (we’re on v3.17 omg) but i couldn’t help myself with stopping. i kept improving this pack with updates until the current update which is as i said v3.17.

    v3.17 will be the last update of v3 (seriously this time i promise), and i want to let you know that i’ll keep working harder and try to deliver the best of what i can do.

    so, on v4 of Nature X, connected textures for so many blocks will be added, this will be the opening feature of this version. also i’m planning in this version to start adding textures variations for so many other blocks (unrelated nature blocks too).

    and with the release of v4, Nature V will be released, this is a vanilla version of Nature X but with less features (as without Optifine there would be some limitations). i’ll keep on updating it and ill try to implement the new features with methods that won’t require Optifine that much.

    what's your thoughts on this?

    i've added short grass everywhere, it looks cool right?


    however, there is a shading issue that occurs but only when using shaders, and in some scenarios not all the time such as time of day, direction of shade.. etc
    in the following pic i've used BSL shaders, at noon time. it's not that bad, however the short grass did become darker (in other time of days and other shade directions it's actually good and doesn't have this issue)


    here is the same pic, also at noon, but with a different angel (different shade direction), here i think it looks bad, and whatever i do (even when brightening the short grass texture) it still occur


    i've wanted to add this feature from a long long time but couldn't solve this issue, so, should i keep this feature or not?

    i also found that turning off smooth lighting option would reduce the issue a bit
    just a question please, should i keep this feature or scrape the entire thing

    Yeah, I've had this problem too. The grass is a part of the grass block itself and it calculates shadows based on the sides of the block, not the top, thus the messed up shading. Afaik, there's no good fix for that.

    heyy my lovely people, hope you're doing great!

    Nature X update 3.12 is out now!
    in this update i was experimenting with the sunflower model, and i accidentally made it 3 blocks tall haha
    but i decided to keep it, and i had to make the short & tall grass taller too (only in the sunflower plains biome) as it didn't look good having a 1 block grass everywhere with 3 blocks sunflowers here and there, so i had to make them taller.
    so now it looks like this and i really like it, it's like an all tall grass biome i think it's realistic too.

    also i added a new texture for the birch sapling in the old growth birch forest
