The probability is high that life exists elsewhere in the universe: with billions of stars in billions of galaxies, it's almost inevitable. What is very much in question is whether we will ever be able to contact it, given the vast distances between stars and the limitations of the speed of light. The probability of aliens having visited Earth is pretty much zero; and there certainly is no proof it has ever happened.
