Heya, MSK here! I recall seeing all of these fancy skin renders and silently wondered how to do them. Today, I finally found out how I could do 'em myself! (although, I do feel a bit silly for not piecing it together sooner... heh...)

    render of my Mario skin

Man, shoutout to Blockbench! This is so cool!

You probably know already, but in the case that you don't, Blockbench is a free, Low-poly modeling software that Mojang/Minecraft themselves use. I'm pretty sure the models for the Sonic DLC that came out on Bedrock a while back were made with Blockbench too. I knew that Blockbench was capable of making models, but I didn't know you could create these cool skin renders in it as well!

Anyway, I hope that you find some use and or fun out of this, if you didn't know about it already. Have a great one, and see ya later, friends!

Yo, MSK here! I thought of a fun thing that I could do every once in a while, and that would be sharing small little fun facts about my skins, so let's-a go! This one will be for my most recent skin, Super Mario!

For a long time throughout the development of this skin, Mario's face had a different look, and this was due to the presence of...

wip image of my Mario skin

Eyebrows! Yeah, instead of having some of his hair poke out from underneath the hat like he does now, he originally had eyebrows. I ultimately decided against this, since I felt it gave him a less friendly appearance.

There's also a bit of a trivial detail that is even in the final version of the skin, take a close look at his overalls' front straps from certain angles! They have a very slight 3D effect due to part of them being on the 2nd layer. very fun thing I try to include in a lot of my other skins! Anyway, thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a super day!

Also, I forgot to note this, but another notable difference between this w.i.p. version of the skin and the final version is that Mario didn't have the very subtle striped pattern on his mustache that he does now. The striped mustache pattern you see on the final version was only added after the eyebrows were removed and the hair was added.
