As someone who uses Mine-Imator, you really need to play with your settings. You can change the speed of the actions, or even slow it down in an editing program.
Thanks for all the suggestions... Thankfully a player on my server, who has mad redstone skills, was able to build it for me. I'll try to post a video when it is done so you all can see it in action.
