There are a lot of other regions already here on PMC.

I recommend checking theirs out and see how they did it. Don't copy it of course, but by looking at theirs it may give you some inspiration or good ideas for your own region. Always be sure to add your own twist to it

Depends on how quick you are with building, but also plugins. As recommended before, try using worldedit and voxelsniper. Those can help a lot and speed up the process

Iuvem Region
Alora Region
Flora Region
Maloha Region
Pomana Region

This is quite hard actually. In my opinion Qiyuan is a bit too hard to pronounce, but it's your own choice of course. I'm just trying to help

You can create a 1.8 Pixelmon server, but you won't be able to put plugins on it.

This is a huge disadvantage for most servers because they need plugins to succesfully run their server. It's also the reason why most pixelmon servers are still on 1.7.10.

If you want a server with pixelmon and plugins, you have to create a server for Minecraft Version 1.7.10.
