    Is there a limit of players?

    Also, if you are using Youtube, how advertiser friendly (if applicable) will your videos be? 1- don't care, dark humor is allowed, etc. 10- as family friendly as possible.

    whoops. It was enabled. I disabled it and played for an hour. Didn't crash...yet.

    Until then I''l keep testing it to see if in fact Optifine's dynamic light feature is the culprit.

    Optifine has a dynamic light feature, which I have off.

    The noppes mod is Custom NPCs. Sometimes I crash when placing a NPC. This only happens on the server. The mod is a server friendly mod, since that is one of its intended use.
    Never crashed before when using it, and I don't think it's the cause.

    I've been looking for such a server. Depending on how plugin savy you or a staff member is, this could be done with plugins (you might need custom made ones too). A lot of work has to be done for this.

    Another route you could go is a modded server. The only mod you will probably need would be Custom NPCs. It's a great mod to use especially if you want to create some RPG elements or just to create NPCs. Axel's body shape is possible to make with this too, or at least close enough. This will still require a lot of work and since it is modded, players will need the mods and their correct versions as well.

    I'm a decent builder and I know the basics and some advanced stuff about the Custom NPCs mod. Message me if you need help with either of these. I wish you the best!

    You want mature staff and a well made server with functional and not overused plugins?

    Also, there is this server I recently joined and it is well made. It has custom plugins so none of the same overused plugins that all the "RPG" servers have.
    Take a look: Faceland Ultimate RPG/Survival Server
    Griefing is strongly discouraged (bannable) so that rants, tantrums, whining, etc. is less likely to happen and keep the game fun. People have made AMAZING builds because of this and the server owner even made waypoints so you can check some of them out.

    Have you ever joined any servers? There are a few good ones out there that have fairly nice players and a great owner. I recently found this server called Faceland. It is listed in PMC if you want to search it.
    P.S. It does not have normal MC gameplay. Just check it out to see what I mean.

    Da0boss0xYep those little friggin baby zombies. They run so friggin fast and so hard to kill becuz of their small hitbox.


    Only in PE I die to them. They are much faster than the other versions and they actually run circles around you. It's funny but ridiculous.

    Minecraft play time: 3 or so years, never really kept track
    Minecraft Specialization: Explorer, builder, intermediate redstoner
    Time dedication: depends on college and life; most dedication during breaks
    Prior Server and why I left: RPG style server, shutdown due to inactivity; SMP server, had evil griefers destroy builds and cover them with lava, didn't enjoy the game
    Why NightOwl is right for me: Can help me improve my channel as well as help others with theirs after learning the ropes. I like to have fun and help others anyway I can and this server looks like I can do that. I've been looking for a community to join and this could be the one.
    Other gaming interests: PC gaming with Steam, Nintendo, and mobile games (Clash of Clans, etc)

    Not really any participants. I added in a submission because only one person participated.

    Winning skin by 1 vote is The Bearded Lady. (I have no idea who voted, I did not vote)

    I am surprised and also sad with the results of the contest. I was hoping for more participation.

    I always wondered how the character Herobrine was even created and rumored to be in the game. The idea and creation of the mysterious character just appeared and talk of it just spread like wildfire.
    Well he does and does not exist. He does not exist in vanilla Minecraft. He only exists in mods, plugins, and skins, in the forums, and in the over-hyped imaginations of kids.
    Any "proof" people have are just pictures (and also videos) of any of what I said above.

    On a different subject, I wish the giant zombie would be given AI so that it can be an actual hostile mob to fight against.

    Hmm good point.
    I wasn't sure on how to have the contestants' submissions get judged. I want this contest to be judged by the community and not a select few.
    Me as the only judge wouldn't be completely fair.
    Ugh! More work for a (seemingly) simple contest. :/
    I guess I'll put this on hold until judging would be fair for all levels of experience.

    Only the crappy servers are like that. Most of them are shutdown thanks to Mojang's server crackdown a year or so ago.

    Right, don't rely on donations. They help but are unreliable for supporting any server.
    Big servers do tend to overshadow the newer or small player traffic servers. I've noticed while playing on many different types of servers that many players are going for PvP survival and competitive mini-games. More players want to kill, steal, and grief other players and their builds. I'm not saying that all players want to do this, but the trend is there.
    Also, friendliness to newer Minecrafters would help. I hate seeing these dudes get screamed at, slaughtered, and their builds ridiculously griefed on servers. When this happens, they either never join that server again, or never play on any server again. That is one less potential repeating "customer" you could have for your server.
    You want players to come back again and again, so you would want something that would attract and keep them coming. A server that is based on normal survival could have some sort of arena that players could battle in or a mini-game or 2 to give them something else to do on your server.

    Currently I've been playing on a small modded server called Dangercraft. I'm usually the only player there and the owner shows up every now again. He doesn't have a lot of plugins or other custom stuff so it's pretty fun playing a modded survival. (The Orespawn creatures love to give me lots of hugs. lol)

    The character Herobrine is in my 1.5.2 version of Minecraft. I will edit this comment with screen shots and possibly a link to a video. No joke. He is in MC version 1.5.2. I still have the world that he was found in. I repeat: Herobrine is an easter egg for MC version 1.5.2. Of course he is difficult to find since he is a mob entity that is an easter egg. He is not in every world you create in MC version 1.5.2. His behavior is also strange compared to the evil Herobrine people think of. He roams around like any other mob and eats food periodically. He is a neutral mob. His name appears above his head much like a player name.
