🚩Banner Flags Update 3.1: [​1.20-21.6]

- Added banner waving animation that you can turn on by crouching with a feather in hand next to a flag.

- Added banner swapping, just crouch with a banner in hand next to a flag to swap out the banner.

- Added action bar messages when doing actions.



I backported the update way back to 1.20, so for anyone still on older versions, you can enjoy the new features and improvements like waving, diagonal banners, etc.

I have had no access to my computer since December 8. I’m completely devastated because my resource pack was fully locked and loaded for an update (probably my favorite one i’ve ever made) the day after (Tuesday Dec 9; Mounts of Mayhem drop), and I’m also quite sad because I really like Minecraft and haven’t been able to play in 3 weeks! I am typing this from my phone. I would have really liked to release a Christmas special or some artwork at the absolute least but access to my phone is also limited and I haven’t been able to draw digitally.
What do you think about the new game drops/the new drop system? I’m pretty concerned about the new drop system (I like that we will be getting more content more frequently but removing major updates entirely is a big mistake) but I still feel optimistic that things can change in the future. the game drop itself was kind of okay, i’m a builder so it didn’t have as much of an impact on me as it did on pretty much everyone else 💀
I hope you’ve all had a good month so far. My mental health is still super awful but I’m more hopeful about the new year than I thought I would be. Thank you all very much for this year. I learned a lot about my favorite game and have met a lot of really fascinating creators in the community and I’m really excited to have my computer back lmao

currently thinking about how so many kids on this site are fixated on the military or ww2. i've met at least 5 people who run around calling people comrade and having the ability to list every war-era aircraft sorted by start of production. which is more than one, which is A Lot. and like that's completely fine, i actually think it's interesting, and i really love when people have interests but like......

not like I Can Play An Instrument but I Can Tell You Everything That I Know About This One Band That I Like For 4 Hours Straight And We Would Only Be Halfway Through.
i wrote an AU around one non-canon merely suggested realm that could exist in one album and happens to be alluded to in another album, i got 10 different people to work on it, and we wrote so much lore that 60% of it is lost media, i wrote 14 documents in 2 years but i'm still failing creative writing.
i'm known as The Guy Who Likes This Band and for the last 3 years i have done nothing but draw the same 1 member of the same 1 band because she saved my life and she's fun to draw. i drew her so often that people at my school can point to my art and ask me if i'm the guy who draws on whiteboards at school. she was my minecraft skin for the first year i had planet minecraft 💀
i have other fixations or long term interests but music literally controls my life and i go NUTS if i go 24 hours without music

and like that's great but I CAN'T APPLY THIS TO ANYTHING IN SOCIETY 😭😭😭😭 IT HELPS THAT IT MOTIVATES ME TO PURSUE THINGS SO THAT I CAN HAVE AN EXCUSE TO Make It About The Band BUT !!!!!!!!

Mounts of Mayhem game drop will be released on December 9. I'm also going to release v1.2.0 on the same day. I'm really excited for this update and it's my favorite one so far, all of the features were made within 5 days, and I'm sorry that it took 4 months to start in the first place.

I'm sorry that I've been completely inactive for the last two months. I feel as if nothing that I make is really worth it, and despite all of the ideas I had for the new drop I had no motivation.
This doesn't mean I quit the game or that I quit my passion project. I think that I'm not fun anymore. I want to make things that are unique or fun and I think that's why I joined here in the first place and was met with as much support as I have recieved over the last year. Thank you all very much.

Minecraft Live is today!!!

I have been struggling with very bad burnout, and since Frosted is a passion project I feel unmotivated to work on it. This doesn't mean I'm quitting; I make new ideas every day, and I really like making stuff, I just don't know where to start. Minecraft doesn't have as much whimsy or fun as it did a long time ago. I feel like everything nowadays focuses on optimization or realistic improvements.

I might lock in during Minecraft Live but right now I'm just going to play regular minecraft without worrying about making models or building things that look good. Minecraft feels less like a hobby and more like something that requires skill and talent to do. It meets the same "i need to be good at this" feeling as art, dancing, singing, or writing. I want to play the game and feel how I did when I was a kid.

i’ve been sick since monday, yes i have seen the new snapshot, no activity will happen in probably a week or two for me (if not 3 months like last time 💀💀) but it’s fine maybe i’ll work on stuff like drawings. thank you!!
