It actually depends to me a bit. If it's a chest, fair game to steal, but if it's a really great structure I feel a bit worse about destroying something like that. Doesn't mean I won't always do it for teh lulz, though I don't have too much sympathy for whiners. If they wanted their creation to stay, they should've done it either offline, or in a server where it'd be protected from destruction.
