Is this a joke? Because you need to set eula=true, not "truuuuuuu"

If you're going to go ahead and make a UI even when suggested not to, can you at least host it on GitHub so we can collaborate, comment, pull request, etc. on it?..

Makes downloading it easier too, etc. Read up on github pls

Fine. There's many. The "apps" made so far are hardcoded. The location of steam is hardcoded. There's assumptions that files exist, steam exists, and that the whatsnew.txt file exists. All the "app" button locations are hardcoded too. Shouldn't those be movable in the future? Why do we have a metro-style app system anyways? It didn't work well for windows 8.

Will tkinter even work with our situation? I thought we were using nvidia's second-screen feature or whatever. How would that work with tkinter?

Also, I just realized, won't the screen be ~1-2 inches away from the eyes? Isn't that.. bad

"Might as well get it started"?.. no. We don't even know what the GUI will be, there's absolutely no reason to start creating the programming side of it. Instead we should work on the graphical portion which will be up to the designers and graphical artists. Making an actual program would be a waste of time and energy right now.

Edit: Just took a look at some of the code.. and it has huge problems. That's what I mean, that's why we shouldn't be rushing to make a real program.

Maybe it'd be better if you explained what you need help with exactly first instead of just displaying application forms.

AR = augmented reality. This will change (augment) reality. Also luckyleprechaun + irishchaos? Coincidence?

But you said earlier that Steam games would only be projected and would not augment reality, and only apps? will augment reality?

This sounds like it would be a "games projected onto glasses with holographic apps" type of thing, not a "holographic gaming headset".

Also, I don't understand why people are working on the actually programming end (even as far as to make the "app API"..) of the UI when we're still having trouble deciding what we're making. At the furthest we should only be making graphical mockups of this UI.

So I read all 43 pages of this. Here's my thoughts.

    1. I see that we have people who are really putting time into this to try to make this happen. That's great.
    2. mcrocks, no offense, but that UI is really not very thought out tbh. The UI doesn't look very easy to use and I don't think the "Metro" system is such a great idea especially since Windows' own Metro failed terribly. I feel like some of the stuff here is a little rushed, and that people feel the need to immediately contribute by producing whatever can be made. We need to slow down a little bit and think about what we are creating at the core. And that leads me to the next point.
    3. What are we actually making? I have read all 43 pages word for word, but the wiki and forums are down. From what I can sense it's a pair of glasses that has a picture projected/reflected onto it?
    4. It also seems like the idea is that it will be augmented reality stuff, but.. that's big. That's not something we can just randomly decide to include or not include. If we're making AR glasses, Minecraft (and all other games) will need mod(ification) support, and a ton of it. This is something that would take a team of professional developers to make happen. (Think about Microsoft's new HoloLens). Otherwise, if we're not doing AR then it's just a screen on glasses, or basically an Oculus without the immersion.
    5. We have no input devices from just the glasses. Apparently the glass will also be able to operate without a computer, as some sort of Google Glass type of thing. This requires (preferably multiple) ways for it to receive input from the user.
    6. forum and wiki are down
    7. Website has spelling errors.

Tl;dr: slow down, think about what we're making, fix the forum and wiki

By the way guys, I've made us a chat room at http://tlk.io/gameglass if anyone wants to join. You don't need an account but you can login with Twitter if you want. This could be embedded onto the website with this code:
    <div id="tlkio" data-channel="gameglass" style="width:100%;height:400px;"></div><script async src="http://tlk.io/embed.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
