You didn't give too much information. I'd like to see how you handle in-game situations.

Just from looking at the post I can infer quite a few things.

The first is that you look like you're in it just for the money. 75% of your post was donator ranks and it was without a doubt the most thought over part you wrote. Also, your server definitely doesn't comply with Mojang's EULA. You can't sell in-game items that aren't cosmetic. Do they enforce it? Eh, only with large networks but you don't want to screw yourself over.

The second is that it doesn't seem like you know how much work creating a server and developing really is. When you say "I'll just code a plugin to spawn towers," it's not something you just sit down in get it done in an hour. There's lost of planning involved in developing.

I'm going to guess you don't have much financial support (I could be wrong). If you're running a server you should be prepared to take losses. Don't run it solely for the sake of milking your playerbase out of donations.

Please provide more information about the server. You're providing users with almost no real reason to apply other than "Oh I met might get a moderator position on a server I've never played on, don't care about, and also have no idea how it works."

Yes you can replace Bukkit with Spigot when you are coding plugins.

-Woody-I would not recommend CodeAcademy. Although it teaches you the language itself, it doesn't teach you very much on structure, and doesn't teach why stuff works how it does.

I would agree with you on some of that. I've only used Codecademy for a couple weeks so I'm not too far into the course, but I do wish it said why to do things certain ways.

It's like, give this div the class type of jumbotron. Ok sure, but now I have these questions:
    1: What's a jumbotron?
2: Why am I naming it a jumbotron and not something else?
3: What are the other class types?

Then it never answers these questions and moves on.

It does seem like a great way to get a solid foundation however. You may end up reteaching yourself proper style but that's not too difficult to fix.

Bahahahaha, a coding language mate. He said he wants to become a developer.

Anyway, I agree with YouTube and Codecademy. Codecademy is a great resource for web development and there are endless tutorials on YouTube. Also, invest in a good book. I can recommend a few for Java, C and Lua if you're interested. Read through the book if you want to learn everything new and then you can always use it as a reference tool if you ever forget or want to skip to something complicated.

As for languages, C is the starter language for just about everyone. It's simple and really powerful and will introduce you to a lot of concepts. You can move from C to Java which is considered a little more complex but I personally like Java more. You can also learn C++ which is a more modernized C language that deals with a lot of the complexity of the C language.

Sources: Self-taught myself originally, now currently a Computer Science major.

    Best of luck.

For what? You want a rainbow to fly across the screen while he scrolls? What animation would benefit this website at all?

Server Manager / Plugin Developer Application

1.) First Name, (Optional) Last name: CJ
    2.) Age (Required): 19
3.) How often will you be online?: Over the summer (now) I can be online very often, upwards of 15 hours a week. When class starts back up and I go back to Uni I can be on at least a couple hours every other day.
    4.) Skype Username: PM me
    5.) InGame Name: Phrontier
6.) Previous Experiences: I've run more servers than I can count with various different themes. From factions to Minigames such as Skywars I've dabbled in so many different plugins there isn't much I don't know how to do. I'm familiar with the console and Multicraft Panel as well.
7.) Describe your understanding of your knowledge about Servers: I touched on it a bit above, but I've run plenty of servers. I've even set up my own VPS so I could avoid the hassle of dealing with a 3rd party provider for hosting (such as RedStone Host or BeastNode.
8.): Anything else you would like to add? I've also put Plugin Developer as a position I'm applying for. Although I'm not as good as some of the other guys here who have developed plugins, I've developed a few small-scale ones of my own to fit the server I was creating at the time. I'm a Computer Science student at my university and have a great understanding of Java, and would love to try and develop plugins for you as I'm sure I have the skill level to develop.

Using Drake's equation, with conservative numbers, there is likely 6 other planets in the universe that could contain life. This is not accounting for time, which means that the other 5 planets could have already have had life billions of years ago or will have life billions of years from now.

The advertisements are based off of a whole host of data gathered from search engines and such. In other words, you've done some googling recently that prompted their ads to think you were into bikini-clad latin girls.

If you're not directly affiliated with Planet Minecraft, you can't use their name in your title. You may want to change it. I doubt PMC is going to pursue legal action for it, but you always want to keep on the safe side.
