I find Paint.NET extremely useful especially if your thinking of challenging yourself and do some shading it has very cool tools which you can experiment with I highly recommend it
Looks nice but maybe you should make some other type of skin the "Herobrine" theme is used too often in the community and gets fairly boring, but to start off with its a good skin and keep it up
