Haha, first time back on PMC in a long while. I took a nice MC vacation.
This is a great idea. Thanks Azie!

Strange_Chemicalsbut yeah, i noticed your builds are in similar styles. maybe dabble in some other types of builds. i've been building mostly medieval during my time here, and only recently realized modern is where it's at.

Aint that the truth. It's a PMC takeover nowadays. But while everyone was encouraging me to keep building, I made another medieval build, Cliffview Manor. That was fun, but I am ready for a break now, maybe experimentation into something new.

If you want to check out that build, go here --> http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/ ... val-build/

Lol, alright, I can try this. Architecture is actually a passion of mine in real life, too though.

jmankdmanNice dude long time no see!
but your not a cartoonic builder are u? if your a builder then lifes a breath... you take in ideas and blow them out to the world...
    jman

Wow, that was almost poetic o.O

Well, I am not typically a cartoonish builder, but I do sometimes take inspiration from animes, cartoons, and video games ('specially Skyrim) for themes or builds. But anyways, thanks for the amazing feedback, I will try to continue building!

Thanks, shift_. It's nice to hear this from people, I rarely get a ton of attention for my builds. I would say the reason why I don't make out like a robber here on PMC would be because I don't typically do solo megabuilds, and I don't use Shaders and such... which is a shame.

This should be a very interesting competition. Especially considering the new 3D models that are available.

Second book could be interesting. The first could as well.. but may be difficult to write and for a reader to comprehend. Also, the first one sounds very similar to a popular movie, Stranger than Fiction.

Being a writer myself, I commend you for deciding to tackle such a challenge. I know first hand the difficulties of sticking to writing a story. It takes dedication to write it out, and then go back and edit after realizing that your writing changed throughout the course of the story, and then realizing that your plot needs adjustment, requiring more change. It is a large time constraint, but ultimately worth it as your ideas flow onto the screen/paper.

    Good job, and keep on!

Hm. My problem with school movies is that they are usually boring documentaries.

But we did watch Last of the Mohicans or whatever that was called in US history. That was a good movie.

Yup. As others said, there already exists a forum for seeds.

However, you may be able to showcase a seed in the projects section by taking the time to do justice to a seed by building a great project on it. Then, you would post the seed number along with the project. This way, you could share your seeds like you want, get XP from it, and showcase your building skills.

I am sorry, but Herobrine is just a legend made up by a few trolls during the early years of minecraft. He does not exist. Your story is purely a strange coincidence.

Have you tried building organics? By this I mean building real life or imaginary organic bodies or statues, such as a dragon, a giant flower, or a person. This can be difficult to learn, but if you have time, it's worth trying out.

Well, these are some interesting ideas. I usually don't think I will ever need a map I currently have no need for, so I delete it without thinking

Save it for college or something bigger. Trust me, you're gonna want that money in the future.

It's definitely a good start. If you intentionally are making this a "sky island", I would recommend adding some conical shapes to the bottom of the platform, and to round out the edges and add some random vines or whatever. As for the actual build, remember to have a sense of scale. This seems a little too small, especially if you look at that entranceway/arch thing. Detail is a must for those walls, a good way to do so would be to add a few intricately detailed window spaces. If you want more depth in your builds, I recommend making walls 2 thick and then carving into them, although such isn't very applicable to such a small build. For your paths, try making them look less organized and more random, using blocks like gravel, cobblestone, stone, and stone brick in the same path. But the one you have now is OK.

Overall, the idea is cool, even the layout and design I like. Just make it bigger and more detailed, and I will be satisfied. And maybe use a texturepack for a medieval style, like maybe John Smith?

I believe that this belongs in the Server Recruitment section, as you are not really advertising your build but are looking for help on a server.

This should go in the Server section. Please post there for any future advertisements for convenience sake.

If this is the case, I would recommend not just taking other songs off of YouTube for your own channel, and instead just making a playlist on your account without downloading videos to your account.

As for good techno songs, I would recommend Daft Punk (If you count that), and then Monster Cat has a wide variety of techno/dub-step songs that you can browse for some songs that you like. A couple of my own preferences from a recent album were To The Stars and Pizza Planet (ha-ha, I know, these names are amazing).
