    I've been playing around with MCreator a bit with the idea of possibly making my own mod with custom blocks, items, etc to expand on my resource packs.

    An example of my experimentation are these texture-less train tracks I've added.

    Super easy to make mods in MCreator, even if I know it has a bad reputation among people who think you should make it all by yourself, but I'm not a modder. I'm more interesting in the visuals and just want to use mods to unlock more potential.

    It becomes harder when you try to add scripts. I'm trying to make it so when you click on sleepers without rails holding rails (item) it replaces the sleepers with rails. Currently it replaces every block you press on. Additionally I tried to make it so you can take the rails from the tracks and thus convert it into sleepers but I'm doing something wrong because it just crashes the game.

    Been taking a long time to update my town submission, but today I decided to finally take some screenshots and update it.



    Around 8-9 buildings have been built as well as many unique trees, fun but also challenging to make them unique and not repeat the same shape while also making them look realistic.

    Oh my dear god. Finally.

    I was looking at the cat model I've been working at again, depressingly since I've felt that it was just wrong and couldn't proceed with it because of that.

    What was wrong? I was trying to force myself to start making textures and was looking at references when I got sidetracked to reading about the Pallas' cat which has round pupils when I realised why it was wrong, the cat had round pupils, not slits! By fixing that single thing I suddenly felt okay with the model.

    Making a more human-like version of the villagers & co. ♂ & ♀ variants with different ages will be included. I hope I can figure out animations and children, otherwise it won't be as good as I wish right away at least. The models are mostly based on the player model, but with some modifications to include features I want such as beards, ears, noses, etc.

    Here's a gif of a style test for the female villagers. (Ignore the ugly artifacts, that's the result you get when you don't spend time cleaning up the frames.)

    Do you have any preference on the two?


    Had the idea of an add-on pack where the Iron Golem are changed for armoured guardians like knights. If I can figure out animations that's certainly gonna be on the list of things to do. Hell, then I could even make mounted knights & the ravager could be an evil knight (though they wouldn't move very fast.)

    The pillagers would also be these humanoid medieval characters.

    Had some neat ideas for armour models, but since it's not possible to change the player model in java I had to abandon that idea. If I do them as part of the mob models I can at least get that out of my system.


    Another add-on pack I had in mind were tribal orcs for pillagers and/or piglins where different biomes would have different orcs.


    I got a bit discouraged from working on the cat since I was unhappy with the model variations I made and didn't want to move to textures until that was solved. So for now I've switched focus (which if you've followed me, you know I do all the time.)


    During the time I've been working on these equipment and mob models I've also touched on block models and textures, most recently glass. I have made quite a few windows thus far, but I will wait on publishing this until I feel more satisfied with the execution and have all variations I want to begin with. As always I get fun little ideas from OptiFine, for the windows I thought it would be fun if in frozen biomes the windows had frozen glass. Let's hope the winter is quick to arrive and harsh so I can get some neat real-life references (kidding, please save me from this hell of temperatures from Muspelheim & Niflheim that is Sweden. I want moderation!)

    notifications_active The new gun is a Winchester 1897 Pump-action Shotgun. It'll come in five variations with possibly more to come if I (or you) can come up with any more. Additionally I'll make some texture variations eventually and of course find a solution for the arrow & sounds. These will come in a resource pack that replaces the crossbow.

    I might want to recreate the current textures because in game, especially the wood seems to be a bit too low contrast, I didn't see that in Blockbench.


    (The weird white lines and transparencies in the model are artifacts from Blockbench when screenshotting the model, shouldn't show up in the game.)

    Pretty much finished with Double-Barrel Shotgun

    Made the textures and finished implementation into Minecraft for the Shotgun. Spent a long time on an animated muzzle flash... until I realised it doesn't work like I want. I had planned for it to run once after shooting and then stop, but that's impossible, additionally I found that the animation starts at random places so it doesn't restart even after you've shot so even if I would give the final frame a very long delay it doesn't work.

    Thought I'd post in case someone knows a solution because I feel rather satisfied with it. Whether with regular java or with OptiFine features, I'd be happy to hear someone out.

    Hey Hey! Long time little see.

    Worked on a lot of stuff but had many problems that demotivated me from continuing.

    Can't promise I will but I might finish these things (Except for the Wither since I haven't learnt animating CEM models yet.)


    The New Wither

    Moved the skulls to new necks and extended the lower body to end where the spine does end. Really wanted to make this model detailed since the Wither is a special mob and deserves a bit higher detail.

    Reworked Enderman

    New textures since before I mostly just used noise filter in photoshop. Now I have far more detailed shading in the body. Also making new variations, possibly fewer since I am making 10 damage variations for each one and it's hell to make and implement.

    How the Enderman looks after being punched a bit. Their hearts and eyes begin to glow until they die when they glow fully. Not sure people will like this idea, so comment with feedback on this, please.

    Shield

    Not sure how happy I am with it considering it has a lot of angles, but not sure I would like it more square-ish. I will make more shield variants and make my own textures. ATM I think I just used standard textures for previewing how it looks.

    Binocular

    Binocular I made after the first snapshot, somewhat happy with the textures, far from the level others do, but I'm happy for how bad I am at painting. If it's possible I want to animate textures for glimts in the glass and metal.

    Double-Barrel Shotgun

    Full animations with cocking mechanism and shell ejection. Working on muzzle flash and textures. (And of course implementation which as been somewhat successful after a ton of issues)

    Lever Action Rifle

    Fully animated rifle with cocking mechanism and shell ejection. Working on a muzzle flash, but not sure how it is to animate textures. Also working on implementation.

    Honestly, I can release it now. Just need to make the pictures and pack.png. I just wanted to maybe rework the textures since I weren't fully sure about it. But maybe I can do that in the future.

    Hello everyone!


    For Prunesgrove's Mobs I have started development on chickens, phantoms, and the Wither. I will hopefully figure out custom animations and will add those to the Wither.


    For Prunesgrove's Equipment I have worked on more variations for the sword, and a shield, as well as a few helmets.


    The next update will probably be for Equipments with a few things.


    Bonus sneak peek of the Wither. Opinions! Does it work as a reinterpretation of the Wither boss?

    i like the interpretation but since the wither boss is more of a projectile based mob, where's it gonna shoot out its wither heads from? since the model youve made seems to not include the other 2 heads it has and instead has a sword

    The Skellies are upon us!

    Finally I've finished these rascals. I feel satisfied, despite the insane annoyance it's been to get it all done. It's been a rollercoaster of excitement once I manage to fix something, only to realise something else needs fixing or it didn't really fix it.

    I hope it will work perfectly for everyone, I've tried reading and looking through all the files thoroughly but it's easy for me to miss stuff.

    If you end up encountering any oddities, please send me a PM with a pic.

    Good Evening!

    Here's a teaser of the skeleton(s) arriving tomorrow. Been a tiring mess getting the variation distribution through OptiFine working since I've decided to implement a fun little bonus I'll show off when posted.

    The reason the skeletons have taken (and still do) take so much time is because beyond me making a nice model and textures, I also need to make sure it works with armour (which it did not initially) and to fix the skull item. Wanted the same model as the skeleton, however it is only possible to edit the model while in hand, not when used as a helmet, and thus I'll create a simple texture for the normal skull model instead.

    Thanks y'all for the patience, I know for sure mine has run out after all the trouble these lil boys caused.

    I hope you'll enjoy them tomorrow :)

    NEW UPDATE! Foxes are live now. Finally found a design I'm happy with and made some variations that hopefully will be enjoyed.
