I've got myself an AMD Athlon II X2 250, a dual core clocked at 3.0GHz, but I overclocked it to 3.5GHz. Just got a birthday present of 4GB of DDR2 Kingston memory at 800MHz. Total of 6GB now. I've got a WD Blue, 640GB. All on a Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H motherboard. In a nice, blue and black Cooler Master case (not sure of the exact model.) Just had to buy a cheap, $40 EVGA 600 watt PSU with an 80+Bronze efficiency. Non-modular. As my old one was, well, old... Inefficient... And it also didn't have the correct 8 pin PCIe connector for my graphics card. And finally, the graphics card. (Oh well my case has a lightscribe, DVD RDL optical drive with a little floppy disk reader (those were awesome at the time. Floppy disks were so cool. SMALL PORTABLE STORAGE!) Graphics card is an ASUS Strix, AMD Radeon R9 380 with 4GB of GDDR5. The reason behind buying this specific card, was the air cooling. (I have no water cooling, all air cooled.) The fans can run around 40% before I can hear them. Oh yeah, just as a side note, my computer is super quiet. Barely audible fan noise.
Monitor is an Acer 23" touchscreen monitor. Great for photoshopping as you can touch the screen.. 60Hz is enough for me as well at 1920x1080 pixel resolution. It's got a 3 port USB 3.0 hub as well. I have a Logitech M305 wireless mouse and a GearHead mini-USB keyboard. As well as a GearHead 4 port USB 2.0 hub. Some nice, old Logitech speakers. Just standard speakers... Nothing fancy. And a really old desk and chair, (chair is falling apart...) from IKEA.
That's what I typed all of this up on. I've got another gaming machine as well. It's for when I need to play Windows 98/XP games. Around a 30 minute restart time on that thing. GeForce 2 graphics card. Dual 40GB HDDs. lol Old stuff...
