Often time's a viewer's opinion matters on the same level, if not higher, of the content creators. I agree with your thoughts! Clear concise thumbnails that help portray the theme of an analytical video is what I usually click through for those types of videos-- look at Game Theory for example ^_^. And having screenshots that show the direction of fun videos helps portray the vibe of the video! Thank you for posting your thoughts! :D

Is the slight bump in saturation beneficial because it is slightly more eye-catching without being too obvious?

These are great insights! I used to use photoshop but have since moved to Gimp for editing! It was a big adjustment but Gimp seems to do everything I need. Do you personally prefer thumbnails that use Minecraft avatars in them (modeled on Nova Skin)? Or may I be misreading your comment a little?

Those are very valuable thoughts! I see people using their avatar frequently (and very nicely) like Tecthor. I'm not sure I would personally do that but Clean text is definitely a must. Would you say it's better to have the text mirror the title or compliment it?

As a note, I have since changed my thumbnail and want this discussion to be about personal opinions on the general thumbnail, not mine (unless you feel like that's necessary or helpful ^-^)

If you would have made a different thumbnail, what would you have done? Many people have been critiquing this compared to my other ones. (just curious, I don't want to give the wrong impression)
