Hive style is very very broad
So as a hive styler myself i can say that i see many skins in "hive style" that use way darker colors and less vibrancy in their skins. Hive style is about vibrancy and cleanliness not about just the texture
2012 type skins are plain ugly and i hate it when a skin is sloppily made and gets more downloads than high quality skins

I ran into one myself. so i made a "fire boy sweat" skin like a year ago and posted it onto skindex. Now i used parts from other creators but checked with them first and gave proper credit. What really pissed me off was that this guy just slapped a generic crown on it and reposted it. I asked for credit and he was really rude to me. I ended up getting the skin banned but he reposted it in a mcdonalds base which was not credited as well. He ended up getting banned but from now on my more effort skins, like my main skin (which took me a while to shade proficiently) is not available for download and after getting the popular reel after a fwe hours, i am glad i made it so
