    There's now 20 Historical characters, so there's no room to add more.
    Thanks for all the suggestions!

    However, I still need 2 more Historical Fiction characters, at least 3 more Bonus characters, some more characters for a "Joke" DLC (with Justin Bieber and the Michelin Man), and an "Icon" DLC (with Ronald McDonald and Colonel Sanders).

    Any other DLC ideas are also welcome.

    Also, as soon as I finish a character template, I'll release a small program that will let anyone create their own characters for use in the game.

    DLC as in free DLC right? like add-on packs?


    Yes, free downloadable add-on packs.

    In the select-a-character screen there will be different tabs for character sets.
    • Historical
    • Historical Fiction
    • Bonus
    • DLC
    • Custom


    You'll start with only 10 Historical and 10 Historical Fiction characters. Playing the adventure mode will unlock additional characters of those two types, and completing specific tasks (100 wins for example) in either mode will unlock bonus characters.
    DLC will probably be downloadable through an in-game menu.
    And the Custom characters will be for player-created ones.

    As for new suggestions...

    Mr Rogers and Christopher Columbus will be added to historical characters.
    Iron Man and Jacob Black will be added to fictional characters.
    Queen Elizabeth will be added to bonus characters.

    From new suggestions, I'll definitely add:

    Marie Curie
    Anne Frank
    Helen Keller
    Joan of Arc
    Walt Disney
    Darth Vader
    Hercules

    Other suggestions who really are not historical but I found amusing enough to maybe add as DLC:

    Ronald McDonald
    Colonel Sanders
    Justin Bieber

    Others have either already been added, don't fit the fighting genre (Ghandi? lol) or have other characters that are too similar in fighting stye/stats.

    On a side note, the title screen and a basic fighting stage screen are finished as well as all characters so far (coding-wise). Still need to create all the different stages and their graphics, character graphics and attacks, and the choose-a-character screen.
    After that's finished I'll release a demo, then start working on the adventure mode.
    I'll release screenshots as soon as I've finished at least two character and one stage graphics.

    From suggestions so far, I'm defintely adding:

    Gandalf
    Hitler
    Blackbeard
    Trump (and Clinton because it's so fitting)
    Uncle Sam
    Lincoln
    Cleopatra
    Bob Ross
    Einstein

    And I'm considering:

    Washington
    Katniss
    MLK
    Pan
    Newton
    Napoleon
    Thor

    A lot of good suggestions! Some are just too similar to other characters (like Dumbledore/Gandalf) so I chose the one I could see more in a fighting game.
    Maybe I'll still add those characters as alternates once I've finished.

    However, I do need more female characters, not just men!

    Also, I feel like I should add an optional DLC for characters that may seem offensive to certain people (such as Hitler or Jesus), so it might be good to have some suggestions for other more controversial characters that can be packaged with them, too.
