*sigh* is it really that hard? You just take your world file and copy/paste it to a folder named "Backup." But I don't understand why you always have to delete your world in order to update your Minecraft server? If its bukkit you can just delete craftbukkit.jar and replace with updated one, as well as updating the plugins so it works correctly.
