Hrm, join a company that is "hireing" people right off of a gaming forum and has such poor English Composition skills they would get a D in a middle school paper?

Not only will I pass, I would strongly advise anyone else from not applying, you are wasting your time.

you will not find anyone competent that will want to run someone else's server.

The people with the technical skills and emotional maturity are all off running their own server, or don't care to run one in the first place.

My advice is buck up, and become a good admin yourself.

Tried everything on your list, sadly none of it worked. Even tried updating it on my iPad and another computer to removal all chances of a strange cache/temp file issue in Firefox.

Shot a PM to Paril, hopefully he can resolve the issue.

Tried all of those, sadly, none of them worked. Reuploading is also not a reasonable option. It's a 20k Download/300+ Diamond submission.


vivaminecraftPMC takes a while to load and the site goes down often. That issue happened to me a lot.


That's what I figured was wrong originally, but it's been like this for an entire day, as I've watched other packs get updated. Very odd behavior.

Yeah, I have that happen a lot too, this is just the first time the problem wouldn't go away for almost an entire day. Very odd.

This might be a bit late in the game to mention this, but you're using MC 1.5.2, and trying to load the 1.6 version of my texture pack. It's possible, that is your issue.

Well, since you obviously know everything, go have fun with your free server. We're not stupid, we know you CAN create a server for free. But I bet my $100/month server has a lot more bandwidth than a mom's basement server, and I bet you won't get a nice playable 100-150 ping with your international players.

There's reasons people pay for servers, it's not because "we r stoopud". We want quality, professional grade servers with solid connections to major international backbones. You will not get the connection speed or quality I currently have without either renting a host, or owning a major business-level connection to a backbone, and let me tell ya, those cost a lot more than $100/month.

TONS of servers ran by children or the jobless, yes. I've never accepted a penny for my $160/month server. Donations are not needed if your admin is a professional working adult, and quite frankly, anyone who can't afford $100~ a month *probably* is not a responsible enough person to trust to run a server.

More than half of servers that offer donation services are purely greed, not actual, honest people who want help.

I pay $98/Month for Gameserver hosting, and $50/month for webserver hosting. Real servers cost real money, the $10 buck a month garbage most people get is, in fact just that, garbage.

Because a good computer is all you need. Forget 2-way bandwidth connected to a stable international backbone. Who needs that garbage.

My server is 3 years old and we get more applicants than we know what to do with, and surprise surprise, we're not on a single server list anywhere on the web. Including PMC.

Sometimes you just have to provide something no one else can; figure that out and you'll do fine.

If that's so, that's fine. I really don't have a problem if you took inspiration or design ideas from my work. It was just pretty coincidental the stuff you posted looked a lot like mine, the ore is the only thing I'd say is really unique from mine. But hey, it happens.

Your textures look a lot like mine, almost to the point it looks like you just traced over or refiltered them. If that's the case I *highly* suggest you reconsider your texture pack design strategy, no one's going to like a copied pack.

- Be a mature, well rounded, respectful level headed adult. (Or at least act like one)
- Don't cheat, for you, or anyone. Ever. No exceptions.
- Don't offer any perks what so ever for donations.
- or, don't offer donations at all!
- Don't just let any idiot in. Server size is meaningless. Only let in good well rounded mature players, their "leet build skills" are meaningless. You want good PEOPLE not good builders. (This is where nearly all kid-servers fail)
- Don't make a PVP server, those are retarded. Real players don't play on PVP servers. (I might be bias here)
- Gear your server for mature players. If you're not a mature player yourself, give up now.
- Read my server's rules, ethics and about us page. If you can't pull off what I have in my About Us page, don't bother. You'll just end up like all the other 50 million junk servers. ;)

For those that will flame me, deal with it. That's what it takes to make a good server. I've ran a very successful private server for 3 years, good luck finding any server on par with that anywhere on the internet. ;)

Search for "Mature Minecraft Server" and click on the first result, if you want to see what it takes to make a quality server. :D
