Minecraft/Discussion How do I convert a map?

samtyler654I downloaded a map that had to be converted. People said on the internet that to convert a map you just have to click on it and the game will convert it. When I click on it, a screen saying 'Converting World' comes up, but nothing happens. I tried doing that 3 or 4 times but it never works. Do I have to convert it manually? Does minimising Minecraft stop the process?

I started a Survival world in Beta 1.7, just for fun, and when I was bored, I played it on 1.7.2. It said me "Converting world" too. I just waited a little, and the world was loaded with the biomes form, my house, and all the things I had there.

In 1.8 is really probable a new enchantment mechanic and cheap levels reparing things is anvils. Based on this, I hope that Jeb increase the max. level reparing from 39 to INFINITE. So, if you want this too, please RT and FAV this tweet from a Spanish youtuber (wrote in English) saying that to jeb!
