In a way, it's relative. What you may like is different to what someone else will like.

I wouldn't say "one is better than the other", but it depends on the user, and which environment they feel comfortable using, the "Modern" user interface of Windows 8, coupled with the traditional Windows desktop, or the "Aero" interface of Windows 7.
