If you like dragons, I HIGHLY recommend the Erth Dragons series by Chris D'Lacey. Also his Last Dragon Chronicles. However, these are supposed to be 'children's' books although they are still very well written, in my opinion, and have an extremely interesting plot that spans three book series.
