      Improved paintings? Check
      Further improved cobblestone? Check
      Improved bedrock? Check
      In-depth stone shading system? Check
Iron & Coal ores implemented to the shading system so they blend in? Check

The rest of the ores? Uh, not quite yet, hopefully today or tomorrow tho

So today I decided on a whim to play around a bit with paintings today, and I've always been bothered by how out of place paintings are in minecraft, since only about 4 got any kind of relevance to the minecraft world, but that's just barely.

Came up with these, and will prolly change em up a bit more with the frames and some pictures, but already personally think it's a big improvement, all images the paintings are using are taken in-game too (most but not all by me)

I'm seriously really starting to love the look of this, even randomized now the 2 bottom layers to look a bit like the bedrock block generation. Now highest priority is getting the ores to blend in.

Further experimented with the y texture control with optifine, think I like this version more, feels more vanilla with each layer mostly being every 5 block darker, rather than literally every block, and is a lot easier to work with.

I also tweaked the 2 bottom stone layers to have a slight deepslate tint, which is much more noticable on the bedrock, think it not only fits with the upcoming 1.17 update, but also as a small tease for it.

I will obv keep on tweaking and then make it so the ores and maybe dirt and gravel and a few other blocks blends in better, still just experimenting with it

So I recently found out that optifine allows you to not only have control of how a block looks like in what biome, but it also allows you to choose exactly what texture it is gonna use in what Y coordinate, so I couldn't help myself and made this:

Gonna have to obviously fix the ores and so on, but so far, I love it, like a mini pre-1.17 cave update lmao
Right now the stone for those of you who can't tell, starts to slightly get darker at Y50 and keeps getting slightly darker for every block down.
