Alright, I got it figured out. star_weaver was correct and I needed to update, however forge version 2768 was also slightly too old, as Astral Sorcery requires 2781. Updating to the latest then points me at another error caused by an Mcreator mod I downloaded, Opposite Dimensions.

Why can't Mcreator mods EVER play nice on servers... ?

Ah, what... I downloaded the latest before, and it somehow gave me that. Strange!

What version do you intend to post this on?

Looks like you'll either-- want to increase how much RAM you're allocating to Minecraft, or... use a different texture pack, since it's directly telling you that's the issue there. Maybe try taking out Voxelmap in exchange for journeymap.

Well, from what I can see, Flansmodapocalypse should actually be in a Flans folder in the .minecraft directory. That might cause problems.
I don't know what Mercurius is, but it could very well be useless to you.

Looking up the mod descriptions also tells me you'll need to add in MMD orespawns in order for Base metals to work.

Lemme know if that changes anything.

Alright, I'm still building my pack but I'm interested in seeing what you'd do with it. I'm one of those idiots who uses 50+ mods that adds way too many things and often results in catastrophic world corruption due to "Oh no, the monsters I was keeping in cages got out and recreated dwarf fort's 2cat problem"

I'll message you a link to my pack when I'm ready and can get it uploaded. I tend to self-host the packs as MultiMC instances.

Darn, I was hoping to look at some of the things you've built. This sounds really cool in general.

I mean, if you're building hubs to load into on servers, would you need to account for the mods the server is using in case they give you more building flexibility or need to change your design in any way?

I should check for a portfolio. This does sound interesting.

Do you need the modlist in order to work in any instance?

I'm with you on this one. I'm honestly getting irritated.

You're telling people it isn't the answer you're given. Hmm.

    You never listed Windows ME.

Everyone knocks on it, but it ran really well for me. Better than that, if any of my sisters tried using the one in my room, it would bluescreen on them. Without fail. I didn't even need to do anything, it just did it. That tempermental nature seemed almost supernatural to me.

Other than that, I'd pick Windows 7 with handpicked updates.

I don't know if I can direct link, but when it comes to vehicles, it looks like Flan's Mod updated recently and I recall that having a lot of wartime content.

Depending on the version, there's a boatload of options. Optifine is normally for letting things look pretty and enabling shaders.

Fastcraft, BetterFPS, Vanillafix, Foamfix, are mods I know of for various versions that help a lot.

There's a lot of reasons I'm concerned about this one. Largely, we need to consider what Hypixel is known for. Apparently, while it was popular, it also popularized some really scummy moves in the Minecraft community and caught flak. Things like microtransactions and pay to win. I don't know, I never checked it.

The terms of service have come out and while it is moddable, the only thing you're not allowed to mod is the client. That's slightly concerning because that could be used to push ad content at you or mine data and you can't do a thing about it, made worse by the following:

Riot games is an investor. Not only has this company had some PR issues due to people being weird in the company, but it's also owned by Tencent, the chinese megacorporation that moves in on just about every other game and is also maintaining the crazy dystopian network that keeps track of chinese citizens' "Social score." Spooky stuff.

On the plus side, if modding is as open-ended as I hear it is, even an idiot like me could create really cool buildings and creatures with little to no programming knowledge.

I'd say to err on the side of caution here. I already signed up for the beta, though, so I'll have to review these facts when I actually get to check it out.
