Lets be honest, this is the second step to literally no longer having Java support. It started with the name change, and now they're forcing us to get Microsoft accounts. You need a Microsoft account in order for you to really do anything aside from offline stuff in Minecraft Bedrock, so I think there is something suspicious that Microsoft is totally trying to do.
"Player Safety Features" is just a bunch of bull, Mojang accounts were already safe, and do you really think people are more likely to hack a Mojang account than a Microsoft account? No. So I definitely this is just a set up to eventually drop Java Edition, and make Minecraft Bedrock the only way to get new features and updates.
This is obviously just a conspiracy theory of mine though.
