I would have to agree with this, OBS is the best recording software I have used other than ShadowPlay. If you have an nVidia GPU you probably have shadowplay.

Memory isn't something that you just run out of based on computer age, that is storage. Memory is RAM. Just saying you have an amd processor doesn't really tell anything at all. I would think its probably drivers.

Whats the difference? And that's debatable. I could counter that SEVERELY and say a few particular Linux distros that are the best OS's for gaming.


You stated that he called windows a gaming OS, which he did not. He just stated that it was the best for gaming, and guess what. Windows supports the most games, so it is best for someone who wants the most compatibility. I would never use a Linux distro over windows.. (I have tried it in the past before)

What does Chrome have anything to do with this? Also, it's the best OS for gaming because of the Steam support and it will support windows 99.999% of the time. Linux support is hit and miss, and even then some drivers are only community made and are buggy.

That has nothing to do with the setup of a LAN server though, that is an entire different thing.

I think you misinterpreted what Mari was saying: setting up LAN isn't the hassle, but the massive amount of lag between them is.



Whenever I had played on LAN it never had any lag. That would probably be dependent on your internet strength and has nothing to do with console or PC.

List what you will be doing with your computer.
What is your budget?
Include amount and currency.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
What is included in the budget?
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.
Will you be overclocking?
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.
Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
What OS do you want?
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Any specific case preferences?
Size, color, etc.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi


Fill this out and we will make you a build much better than that. $1000 is a lot to work with.

I got out 2 weeks ago.. I'll probably learn to code, maybe start a youtube channel on either cars or computers. I also need to finish a 600 page book on steve jobs.

I jumped in a pool, and I could breath. Dream became lucid, then ended like 5 seconds later.

PCs need a good Graphics card and Processor to even run Minecraft, whereas consoles can easily run GTA 5, which is 60gb and even my brother's gaming pc can't run it that good..

I would personally buy a console so I can play games smoother and faster, without lag




They are smoother and faster because they play games on what would be medium to low settings on a PC locked at 30 fps. My dell laptop could play minecraft at 60 fps on the same settings that a console would play on, it only had a pentium and an integrated GPU. You don't need a good graphics card or processor to run minecraft. I get 7,000 fps easily with my PC. Also, as stated before, consoles don't run games maxed out. Thats why it seems better for GTA5.
