Also, "what impact does it have on you?" (I'm not attacking you or anything Zath, it's just a pretty common response to people when they complain about teen skins, or anything really) is a poor response to have. PMC is impacted by a flux of uninspired skins as it inhibits the originality and creativity due to them seeing that they could just spend much less time (I'm generalising here) to gain much more popularity. This goes against PMC's tagline of 'Creative community fansite', so I'd argue it does have an impact on the community.

100% agree. This most certainly DOES have an impact on skinners both big and small if they're being pressured to either create unoriginal content just to boost their point totals and whatnot, or to put in a genuine effort and risk going unnoticed.

Certainly too many. PMC is completely oversaturated with variants of a single design, and that's bad news for anyone who actually puts effort into their skins.

Seems like a lot of "artists" simply want to take an existing base (the generic 2x2 pixel-eyed 'teen girl' in this case) and recolor it, or change a few pixels here and there. Same issue with the generic 'headphones-n-hoodie teen'. I don't think there's much to be done about, though.

I suppose it'll be a lot easier for me to maintain a single project than four separate ones. Won't get as many diamonds... not that I really care about that, anyway.

It is a bit annoying to have to list my pack under a single resolution, though.

I had a whole post written up for this, but PMC lost it somewhere... <_<

I think Minecraft is doing fine. I really don't get why there have been so many doomsayers around reccently...

I think the community itself is on a bit of a downturn, though. Maybe not on the content creator side of things, but certainly on the average player/multiplayer enthusiast side.

Anyhow, Mojang is still releasing regular updates for the game, the community keeps churning out a massive amount of new content, and, lest we forget, MC is the best selling PC game of all time... I don't know about you, but that's not what I would call "getting worse"

Because:
Fences use the wood block texture. So you would have to remove the wood block texture. Therefor removing: Wooden pressure plates, wooden buttons, really anything wooden.

Not necessarily. Fences can be textured independently with MCPatcher.

OP, if you just need an invisible block of some kind, there's plenty of other less common blocks that you can make invisible, and that would actually render properly (like stained glass, for example)
