My first day playing Minecraft. (beta 1.4) I ventured far away to find Cobblestone, I didn´t understand that Stone became Cobblestone when you mined it, fell into lava and died, respawned and thought that my home was destroyed, so I quit for an hour and cried.

I´t was my friend who created the world, so I dont know the seed

Press F5 and it tells you the seed.

I thought F5 was third person view

Portals can, (Although extremely rarely) self generate, its pretty damn cool, i found one once

I've found that there's more of a chance (If you have the mod) to find an aether portal than one to the nether, so if this guy's serious, dude, what's the seed?
