Minecraft/Discussion What Should 1.12 be Based On?

I personally would like a mining update. Possibly biomes underground (which would be awesome and give another level of immersion) and maybe a new ore that could go between iron and diamond as we haven't gotten any new ores since Emeralds in 1.3. I currently think that underground desperately needs an update. I would love something like stalactites and stalagmites which could glow or have some sort of new block.

I also like the idea of glowing mushrooms that grow underground and give off light and could possibly be a new brewing ingredient? I think it would be cool.



I also like the idea of an update centered around the ocean and other bodies of water. I would like to actually be able to see the fish in the water, and you could put your base near parts of a river or shoreline where fish are more densely located. Eventually, you could end up having to adventure farther out to find more populations of fish to catch.

It could be beneficial to add actual ocean structures to make them look more alive. You could add coral reefs, clumps of seaweed, sea anemone, ocean caves, and shipwrecks. Not only would it actually make the ocean not as boring, but it could actually give a purpose for underwater bases.

They could add sea creatures such as sharks, octopi, crabs (new food?), jellyfish, stingrays, eels, sea urchins, and sea stars. I would also like to see dolphins or turtles added as a tameable mob that you could ride in the ocean as another form of transport. There could also be mobs that are only in certain sea levels, and they get creepier the farther down you go. An interesting feature to add would be a Kraken boss, which you have to fight. If you come across it in a boat, it should be able to break the boat into planks and sticks, and drag you down to the depths.

There should also be deep sea vents the farther down you go, which could damage the player if they get to close. Somehow you could be able to collect a new type of fuel that could last longer than lava, but there would be more risk to get it than lava.

I honestly miss Notch. He put small yet amazing updates into the game constantly instead of some big update that took a year or so to make. Sure, the updates are big with lots of features, but I feel as though Jeb has ruined the "build what you want and survive how you want" aspect and made Minecraft into an RPG.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what Jeb has added to the game as he's added a few good features that I enjoy. I just miss the small constant updates adding in one thing at a time. It makes it to where there are less bugs to find and fix after an update and just all in all they were better, more relevant updates. I do like the "adventure" path Minecraft is going down but at the same time I want more of new blocks and building materials.

I think it's good. Honestly any Minecraft update in general is good as long as they never add guns. I like keeping the medieval feel. Anyway, I really like how PvP will actually require skill now. I never have liked spam-clicking because I always died ridiculously quick to a guy in worse armor and with worse weaponry than myself. This seems to even it out more and gives myself more of a chance.

I've played Minecraft since it first came out way back in the world of 2009 as classic. It's really a lot better than it was then and I love Mojang constantly updating.

I Personally don't want guns, unlike many people on this forum post. You have to put into thought about how overpowered it would be and how it ruins the survival aspect. I think of Minecraft being set in medieval times considering we have swords, axes, pickaxes, and all of that. There aren't drills or anything electrically powered. If you added guns into the game, it would make the player overpowered and too hard to kill. If you want guns, get a mod. I like the luxury of this not being a Call of Duty-esque / Rust-Esque game. Now don't get me wrong, I love the custom gamemodes on mini game servers that have guns, but as a plugin. I wouldn't want it to permanently be in Minecraft. If Mojang knows what they're doing, they'll never add guns or anything of the sort.

The one that I can remember is conduit virus. Thankfully I removed it myself. Fairly easy.

Although, when I was eight or so, I found out what Hamachi was the hard way. I wanted someone to play multiplayer with... long story short they got into my computer and they wouldn't leave me alone. We turned the computer off for a few days and then we turned it back on and immediately deleted Hamachi and changed our IP. ;-;

I would add more structures, maybe add more armor, more tools, and more weapons. (Not guns. Would completely ruin the "survival" aspect of Minecraft.)

You could make a DJ, or a princess... you could do a lot of things. Your favorite video game character, someone you look up to, a celebrity, your favorite animal, a certain color palette, that sort of thing. Hope that helps!

There were these "Microsoft" employees with a thick Indian accent. Unfortunately, my grandparents weren't aware of the scam and willingly gave them their IP. Long story short we had to buy a new computer.

I swear when I was about 11 or so, I woke up one night and saw something staring at me from my doorway, since I slept with my door open then. It looked like Slenderman and all. I couldn't move though. Eventually I closed my eyes and he was gone. Then, I woke up a few months later and saw like an outline of Slenderman coming from the other bedroom down the hallway, because the window was open and light from the street was coming through, and there was a shadow. I saw tentacles coming out of his back and ever since then I've slept with my door closed.
