IDK what would qualify as "weird", but I did build a pointless bridge over a +1000 block ocean once. Dunno why, I guess I just wanted to use up my cobblestone, but didn't know what to build and I just started building a sort of catwalk over a river, or so I thought it was, that showed out to be a massively big ocean. And once started, I couldn't get myself to quit adding to the catwalk, which in turn just became bigger and bigger and more elaborate until I finally had a bleeding long bridge.

It would, in worst case scenario, take 4 times as much skin loading than usual. Considering that chunks take a ton more data than a simple skin file. Of course if you're considering a skin file that fills 100kb, then it would take some loading.

A lot less ocean to go around now. That's a relief.

    Sounds like something for 1.8

Dunno why Mojang don't just make a HD pack for vanilla too.

I work with web development, currently I'm working on a Drupal-based CMS for our company, just creating the essential markup for our pages. We need a designer for the layout of the site (I'm not very good with CSS, I'm more of a programmer).

I've tried out some themes, but nothing that really tickles my fancy - and I'll probably do more work "under the hood" to get stuff like JS APIs to work (particularly Dojo Toolkit). Problem with that is that the Dojo Toolkit and Drupal use two different CSS and as usual with any CMS there are overwrites between the the two because Drupal uses its own CSS layout.

I guess I'm asking for more than your skillset, because I want someone familiar with a particular CMS (Drupal in this case) along with the twirks of Dojo Toolkit.

Well, as far as I can tell, Bootstrap is modular, so it has some of the same features as a dynamic website (a CMS) but it has some of the similarities of static HTML pages.

Depends on what you want to use it for, I guess.

Not a lot of info about Bootstrap. Is it like a chimera between (static) HTML and a CMS? Seems like it.

I think it's pretty good as it is, there are plenty of mods to alter your gameplay. Vanilla should only progress on stuff slowly, maybe incorporate ideas from mods that show cohesive integration into the vanilla game.

TBH, stuff like guns or what have you just doesn't seem right in Minecraft. But as mods go, sure, anything goes.

I wonder if I should generate a new world in singleplayer for 1.7 or just stick with the current 1.6.2 world and upgrade that to 1.7

I know I can just explore more of my current singleplayer world to get the new biomes generated... but I've explored around ... just a tad :/

    1. How long have you been playing Minecraft?:
Began playing in Classic/Alpha, but stopped after 6 months or so, now I'm back at 1.6.2

    2. Why do you wish to join the server?:
Playing by yourself is kinda dull, tbh, and I'd like to join a community and build projects (and contraptions) with other people.

    3. Age? (Preferably 14+):
    31.

    4. IGN (In-game name):

    5. What do you excel in most? (Building, PvP, Redstone): I'm pretty all-rounded, I know my fair share of redstone circuitry and I like building and designing stuff.

    6. Any previous builds/contraptions? If so, What were they?:
The usual. Mob traps, some simple redstone circuits, castles, some railway connections and whatnot, but nothing big and fancy.

    7. Skype name? (Not needed, But recommended):
    Salomon.V.Joensen

    8. How often/ How many hours a day are you able to get on?:
I have a job, but can play something like 4 hours a day, more on weekends.

    9. Any additional notes? (Would be nice to hear something about yourself):
I work in IT, in a GIS company making maps and stuff.

What's the optimal vertical player position for a +42 blocks high pistonpowered mob-trap drop?

NOTE: Basically I want to know the distance I should be away from the mob trap for optimal spawns in the trap

NOTE #2: I have lit up/filled up +32 blocks around the trap ... mostly, so mobs should mostly spawn in the trap ... I think, not sure.

    Thanks in advance.

Very nice design, but isn't it very expensive in resources in Survival?
