Thanks everybody for your help, it turns out there was an old driver left on the computer from the old graphics card that was replaced by this new one. Minecraft probably still wanted to use that driver for some reason, or it was just getting in the way in general, but now Minecraft is fixed, thanks again!
Hmm, interesting. I've tried force-updating and playing, yes. I've installed the real nvidia drivers, although I probably should check to uninstall the ones that windows may have installed, although I believe they were already uninstalled.
Yes, Minecraft worked before, but I had to replace the video card because the other one stopped working completely. It has not worked for this video card yet for some reason. I'm on a desktop, and Minecraft won't really even start. I'll enter my user name and password then the minecraft window will go black for a few seconds and then the error will pop up.
I have the latest driver for my video card. I read the error report haha so that was the first thing that I tried. Maybe I should look and see if the old one is still on the computer, but I don't think it is.
I've seen that a lot of people have the same problem, but different video cards. I've tried most of their solutions and none of them have worked for me. My video card says that it supports OpenGL 3.1, so I don't see why this problem is occurring.
