Help/JavaEdition My Mob Grinder/Xp Farm is Not Working as Well in My Survival World

It could be because the farm is lower in the sky. It could also be if you are aking at the bottom, you would lot a bunch of caves. Try afking above the farm and see what happens.

My ideas for improvments:
In the photo with the door, add a border, because glass panes and doors dont look too great connected to each other.
Remove the glass that is in front of some cobblestone in the first picture

I like the idea of a base in a ravine that isnt just open on one side, but on both.

I keep my main survival world on the latest stable release, creative building worlds on snapshots. Unrelated, why do speedrunners prefer 1.14.4 for speedrunning over 1.15.2?
