I found a website called "No-IP", it will give you a free address that you can direct to your server's regular IP. It is safe, as I have used it myself for many months with no issues. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to sign in once a month to keep it active.

I didn't think about that. That is definitely a possibility. How much RAM is installed on your PC?

It seems Minecraft ran out of memory. Your Forge mods must require more memory then you are giving them. Edit your launcher profile and at the bottom, should be "Java Settings". In "JVM Arguments", change "-Xmx1G" to "-Xmx2G". Just make sure you don't add RAM you don't have installed.

Adding Factions could actually hurt your server. There are thousand of faction servers already and unless you have something game changing on your server, it won't work. Try asking your regulars if they have any ideas, but make sure it will benefit the entire server. I hope I helped.

I don't want to deter you from starting a server, but there are thousands of prison servers already. I would advise you to come up with a more unique idea, but if you think you can do it, go right ahead.

From the information you gave me, it seems you never gave your members the permission node. Edit "globalgroups.yml" in your "GroupManager" folder and add "essentials.spawn" into the group's permissions. If you don't know how to add permissions to GroupManager, this video will help you: http://youtu.be/eZmWw1QfbCE Feel free to ask any more questions you may have.

OK, first of all, create a new folder. It will contain your server. Download your preferred version of CraftBukkit and move it to the folder. To start-up your server, you need to create a start-up script. Open TextEdit and paste the following: #!/bin/bash
    cd "$( dirname "$0" )"
    java -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar -o true
Save it in your folder as "server_start.command" Open up Terminal and type in "chmod a+x". Drag "server_start.command" into Terminal and press return. Click it to start your server and create the necessary files. That is how you create a server, as for allowing players to connect to it, you need to port forward. Go to "System Preferences", click "Network", and under "Status" should be your internal IP. Type it into your browser. From here, look up port forwarding instructions for your individual router brand. If you have any more questions, just ask!

I really think you should backup your ".minecraft" and re-install Minecraft and Forge like I said in one of my previous posts. http://www.planetminecraft.com/forums/post2705454.html#p2705454 I'm not sure what to do next besides that.

    Koslaw99Why do you have a mods.jar?
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.

Hmm...you seem to have done everything correctly. Are you sure you are using the right version of Forge?

I was just asking to re-install it to make sure it was installed right. At the beginning of the Forge installer, it will ask you if you want a client install, or server install. You want client, correct?

Try completely re-installing Minecraft and Forge. Make sure to do a client install. Inside your ".minecraft" folder, you will see a "mods folder. Drag the zipped mod into folder and you are all set! You should see a new profile named Forge in your MC launcher. Did it work?

Forge should have automatically made your mods folder. Did you use the automatic installer from http://files.minecraftforge.net/?

A solar-apocalypse server is a really unique idea. I would not recommend an RPG server, as there are way to many. Same with mini-games.

It is not possible to take a player directly to a website for obvious security reasons. However, it is possible to create a plugin that will give players the URL of your forum in chat, so players can click it, and it will take them to your forum.

The perm "sg.arena.join.*" should not have a asterisk at the end of it. "sg.arena.join" will give your Donator+ rank access to all available arenas on your server.

Sorry, I can't find a solution. Just keep troubleshooting and you will eventually figure out the problem. Hopefully someone will see this that is better with Macs.
