Backstory: Holland. One of the few survivors from the sickness. It's not saying that he wasn't affected by it. The sickness caused him to do what tainted him. It forced him to wear his armour for the rest of his life. It caused him to change. He lost his mind. He descended into a brutal insanity. The madness that overtook him caused him to slaughter what he thought was beasts. It was all to protect his family. When Holland awoke from his insane slumber, his family was dead. He was the one that killed them all.
Holland needed to atone for his sin. He wore an armour that forced him to walk with a great weight trapped over his shoulders. He wandered, and when he learned about people going to a new land, he thought that he can finally forgive himself if he helped everyone.
Religious?: Holland isn't that religious. He believes in the Great Faith, but it doesn't affect his actions.
