    Minecraft/Servers New Server Load Test

    we've been noticing people trying to login to our server but keep throwing an "outdated client" message. anyone wishing to connect, again, be advised, we are using DEVELOPERS build of spout/spoutcraft, and minecraft 1.0.0

    bennettman, i wasnt assuming anything. the point you made, while valid, isnt the point of the post. we've since discovered that our issue had NOTHING to do with the plugins or what build we're using. the player.dat file for my character on the server was corrupted, as well as another character. deleting them and starting them over has since fixed the issue.

    silverslyder we tried the stable builds and they keep throwing "outdated client" errors.


    This is because there is no stable spout release for 1.0.0.
    There won't be until CraftBukkit itself is updated to an RB.


    be that as it may, if you read the whole post, its not the version of spout thats necessarily causing the problems. and its a very isolated area where the glitch is being triggered. we've been running dev builds for a couple weeks now with minimal to no problem. now all of the sudden, whenever i try to login, it resets the whole server and everyones kicked off.

    it just started happening today. until today, our server has been relatively stable and happy for a couple weeks. minor problem that were easily fixed. removing spout doesnt do anything. as for the other plugins, we've tried any number of combinations to recreate the issue but only when the FINAL one is set, it starts happening again.
    as for the dev builds, for some reason, using the dev build has been the ONLY way for us to get the spoutcraft client and server to mesh at all. we tried the stable builds and they keep throwing "outdated client" errors.

    lets also not forget the simple fact that if someone is making actual money off this game, such as having ppl PAY to be an admin, im sure thats against the copyright laws of some kind. but i agree with everyone else. dont EVER ask to be an op. anyone coming to my server asking/demanding to be an op only gets one more command from us, /BAN. goodnight.

    Why do u want op status? ive got a server however im wary about giving ppl op status due to previous ops abusing the abilities.
