    For me it just feels extra corporate. All roads lead to the marketplace.

    I played it for quite a while on mobile, surprisingly easy to control there, I like a lot of stuff, but:
    • I hate how bedrock handles mob spawning and simulation rendering (feels like mobs spawn on top of you and nothing too far away happens, it's ridiculous);
    • You can't change to older versions (at least through official means, and even then all your PAID FOR stuff will be unavailable);
    • They are also trying to kill bedrock modding with the recent PBD file removal incident;
    • Lots of marketplace items feel tone deaf to Minecraft's style;
    • If you're offline your stuff is also gone (even your current skin);
    • Uploading a custom skin for free is so convoluted some people think you can't get free skins on bedrock;
    • YOU CAN'T PAUSE SINGLEPLAYER?!?!?

    Many little things (and some big things) that pile up to put a sour taste in your mouth. I don't hate it, but I'd take Java over it.

    First, let's put our solar system's size in perspective:

    With current tech, it takes 9 months for a one way trip to mars, 21 months (1 year 9 months!) to go and come back due to planet rotations and stuff.

    To travel to Titan, the most earth-like moon we could look into terraforming, it would take 7 years for a one way trip, and I don't even know how long to go and come back. Our tiny corner of the universe is already this big.

    Currently? We get what we can, so ocean. Later on when we can actually go to new planets? Space, baby.

    That number... it comes after 2 and before 4... sorry, as a Valve employee I can't answer this one.

    bonus points if it is the one from chuck e. cheese
    (reading your replies I don't think anything can win your riddle because even cotton is a weapon if the target doesn't react and you have infinite resources)

    The thing is, even if you think bedrock is inferior, it's a fact that it works better out of the box, while java needs mods. Try to mod a current gen console without going bald haha

    knowing how microsoft is, they would not waste a single penny on a new version for no reason, trust me.

    I second that, mojang's reasoning makes no sense. It's not like we're asking for whole new blocks. What qualifies as "limits creativity" is very vague, they say that then they add campfires, barrels, big vases, and many other things we used to make in creative ways.

    I didn't even think about the higher resolution skins, well remembered! Shame that such things are low priority for them, because it's an entire range of possibilities locked for a part of the community, fueling the version wars debacle we are so tired about.

    I found this website very, very long ago, almost since it's creation, it was the place where I'd download all my adventure maps. Unfortunately due to life and all that, I never had a proper Minecraft account (wink) until recently at the 15th anniversary (can you believe I bought the game the day before they released the 50% off discount? Well, I'm just happy to officially be part of the community after aaaaaall that time)!
