This a matchup a lot of people love for some reason. It wasn’t really obvious to me at first, but tbf they do got a solid amount of connections between them. Plus, admittedly, a matchup talking about both Star Wars and Fire Emblem would be dope.
Somehow, it’s debatable, most likely hinging on who takes power and by how much (which is obviously a contentious topic since Star Wars & Fire Emblem have wacky feats to go over), cause if Edelgard takes power by a wide enough margin, you could probably argue she’d muscle through Kylo’s arsenal and get a win; however, if power goes to Kylo, is a tie, or is only slightly in Edelgard’s favor, Kylo most likely takes this via sheer speed (paired with force precognition) and far more versatile Hax. Edelgard would obviously take quantity if you give her every weapon, skill, and spell she could learn, but none of that would really match the versatility of the force for a pretty simple reason, which is… Kylo can avoid Edelgard’s attacks by dodging with speed and precognition, deflecting them with his lightsaber, or halting them with the force (cause the force can in fact stop magic, duh), while Edelgard really has no answer to any ability Kylo uses since, well, she can’t dodge the force. It’s literally everywhere inside everything, including her, meaning there’s nothing stopping Kylo from freezing her in place, choking her lungs, crushing her organs, mind controlling her to, uh… end it herself (tho this is kinda debatable), or literally just putting her to sleep with a wave of his hand… because of course he can do that. The best thing in Edelgard’s favor here would be that her relic could likely withstand Kylo’s lightsaber, but that’s about it. She’s also generally more levelheaded, though, it’s not like this would mean she’s a more skilled fighter, and she doesn’t really have a way to make Kylo go on a frenzy to begin with.
Overall, Kylo takes this in more possibilities for their stats than Edelgard, so I’m inclined to say he wins, as it’s just the more satisfying conclusion… but again, quantity isn’t quality. A ton of the higher tier Star Wars feats within the Disney continuity have been put into question and heavy scrutiny, while the arguments for Edelgard scaling to Sothis’ full power have seemingly become more concrete, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Edelgard won this in an official episode simply due to being scaled higher in power. (the two main feats in question are a group of Jedi working together to stop a piece of debris from damaging a moon & Sothis flooding the planet)
But hey, I played Fire Emblem and picked Blue Lions, so obv I’m just bias and my opinion here means nothing •_•
