Shark, it takes some time to Rank up but that makes it all more worth it when you finally get to the next rank. I would say it takes about a day to go between the different ranks.
Having said that though, obviously if you donate, you have access to an OP mine and shop, or if you get the individual kits, you can rank up pretty quick.
Kind of like playing Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time... Took FOREVER to beat it(unless you do the 20minute cheat), but once you finally did, you felt accomplished. Same concept applies to the style of Prison server setup we have implemented.
Just don't expect there to be a ton of players on when you join as we are still in the immature stage of the server timeline considering we just opened it 2 weeks ago.
