The server is a great idea! just not a lot of people are on it. These are my ideas to make this server better.
1. The spawn, i know there is a contest so ok i understand.
2. this server cant just be survival, it should be more than that! maybe an arcade server, with CTF and Hunger Games and much much more!
3. I understand you have a whitlist, but many people dont go to server with whitlists, so take them off until there is a problem or a lot of people join.
4. Server events! maybe mondays are drop party days, and tuesdays are Firework Shows!

2. We can be and will remain a survival server. There are plenty of servers out there that offer survival games and CTF and other game types, we are not them and we do not want to be. If you would like to play those, go there. We are concentrating on maintaining a laid back survival experience with some interesting plugins to expand it.
3. No, this server is whitelisted as it is for constructive members of the Planet Minecraft community, not every person in the world. People that would like to join can certainly do so after they have contributed to the community. Doing this prevents griefing to a large extent and if you have ever played on a whitelisted server, you will find that those with stricter guidelines such as requirements to get whitelisted have players that stay longer on that server than those that don't, leading to a better community, which is our goal.
4. We may eventually start some server events, but generally we leave most of those things to the players on the server. We are not working to control every aspect of play and we are happy to see players working together to make new and shiny things together.
