We’re not perfect… but we’re still here. Almost 2 years and 10 seasons later (Bedrock Realm)
I started this Realm back in October 2024 because I was bored.
I was playing Minecraft with my friends, we went through the normal 2 week Minecraft phase, beat the dragon and then everybody slowly stopped playing.
I still wanted to play though, so I opened a Realm thinking maybe I could find some random people to play Minecraft with.
What I didn’t realize was how hard it was actually gonna be to get people to join.
I started advertising the Realm everywhere I could. I was posting pretty much every day trying to get people in. Someone would finally join and I’d get excited, then they would leave. Someone else would join, play for a little bit, then disappear too. It was basically join, leave, join, leave for a while.
There were definitely times where I was like damn, is anybody actually gonna stay? But I kept advertising anyway.
Then little by little, people actually started staying.
We’d get on and see the same names again. People started building instead of just looking around and leaving. Then those people invited other people, and eventually it stopped feeling like I was just trying to fill a Realm.
We were actually starting to have our own little group.
Eventually somebody told me we should make a Discord so it would be easier for everyone to talk. I literally remember being like “what’s a Discord?”
We figured it out and that little Discord eventually turned into an actual community.
Now we’re almost 2 years into this, Season 10, and it’s kinda crazy looking back at everything that’s happened.
And I’m not gonna pretend everything has been perfect either. We’ve had drama. We’ve had arguments. We’ve had bans. We’ve had some actual problems between people. Some people I thought would stay forever left, while completely random people joined and ended up becoming friends I’ve known for a long time now.
We’ve had really good people and we’ve had some not so good people, but through all the seasons and all the craziness, we’re still here and we’re still actually playing Minecraft together.
That’s probably my favorite part about the Realm now.
It’s not really about having the biggest server or having 100 people online. It’s just having our own little community of people who all have one thing in common: we like Minecraft.
We build, mess around, argue sometimes, help each other, do events, start over for a new season and somehow come back and do it all over again.
Over time we’ve built towns, shops, an economy, teams, a casino, building plots and a bunch of other stuff. I also started doing weekly events and tournaments. We’ve done PvP tournaments, boss fights, End events, Pillar Survival and a bunch of random things. Sometimes I livestream them too.
So if you do decide to join, the biggest thing I ask is please respect the Realm and follow the rules. I have a lot of memories attached to this place now and there are people here who have put a lot of their time into it too.
