1) IGN: I stormhunted
2) Age: 17
3) Timezone: EST
4) Maturity (Out Of 10): 9/10. I am very committed to getting work done the right way, not the easy way. By doing things the right way, one can save headaches for others (and oneself) in the future. I have a sense of humour, but not one so bold that it gets in the way of the job at hand. I am good at organizing projects and orchestrating teams (shift leader at work [IRL] for 13 months due to this fact).
5) Position/Rank Applying For: Head Developer
6) Why Should You Have This Rank: I believe that I develop cleanly, with clear documentation, and in a way that is usable by others. I also have received formal training on team management and have been certified by Oracle as a trusted developer for Java versions 7 and 8.
7) How Long Have You Played Minecraft: Since shortly after release (4-5 years)
8) Previous Experience: Plese PM me for access to some of my previous development experience in the form of code repositories. For understandable reasons, I don't want to publish access to my code repositories on a public forum.
9) Skype (If you have it): jxt3500 (inactive, but can use if necessary)
10) Strengths AND Weaknesses: As a developer, as previously stated, I feel that my code is clean, readable, and understandable, as well as being well-documented and well-tested. However, if one were to observe my process in detail, it isn't necessarily the cleanest, but the end result is a polished product that I am proud to claim responsibility for. As a team leader, I feel that my strengths are time management, proper task allocation, and team-based goal setting. However, sometimes my communication is lacking (I'm working on it), and I sometimes overload coworkers. Although, I am more than willing to accept responsibility for mistakes and to correct them quickly and responsibly.
11) Do you prefer to work as a Team or Solo: This depends on the work being done, and I am flexible. By necessity, I do not mind working as a team, however I feel that minor tasks should be completed by the individual (a good real-life example: you don't need a whole team to crack an egg).
12) Extra/Other: Note about availability: Most days of the week, I work until 7pm EST. However, in spite of this, I am often available for communication and respond as quickly as possible, and have enough free time that it doesn't interfere with other interests (such as, ahem, development).
13) Questions/Concerns you have: How will you define and/or measure success of the community?
