Oh yeah, this is a bug that’s been going on for a long time now. Either take mending off your armor, or take off your armor when you are repairing your pick. Hopefully Mojang will fix this soon.
I don’t know if this would work, but when you import the skin, what’s your default skin? If it’s Steve and not Alex, it may be messing up since Steve has larger arms.
