Dungeon Master Application/Game Master Application
Alright you want to be a dungeon master hmm? This is a extremely hard application, I intend to only pick the best of the best.

Why do you want to GM/DM(Must be 1-3 Paragraphs):
I would like to be a Dungeon Master (here-in referred to as DM) as I like to bring stories to life, unlike with a player character (here-in referred to as PC) in the role of a DM you have the ability to shape the story and conflicts around what's happening to the PCs. With this in mind, if they're struggling you can make it easier of give them stronger loot/equipment. On the other hand, if they're finding it too easy you can level the enemies or add curses to equipment or loot they find making it harder for them to advance. The fun for a DM is finding the correct level, this is where the imagination of the DM is tested.

The pleasure I get from giving a PC an item that could help or hinder them during the adventure, it is the reason I started playing DnD in the first place. I used to be an avid RPer visiting websites daily to get my fix, but it became the norm and I was promoted to fight adjudicator for one of my RP sessions and with that power I realised I could make or break one of the fighters, as the adjudicator I was fair. I wanted more and then my friend came home from uni and told us he had been playing DnD. I pushed for my friend group to play, and now we like to play it whenever we can. I have been the DM to a large game and a smaller game, and been a PC other times, I like to think I know how to immerse myself and others into the story.

With this experience I would like to help some new DnD players have a good experience, and hopefully the inclusion of MC helps with this.

What staff positions are you familiar with: I was a Mod on a MC server and have been a mod for a board on an image sharing website. These were 2 -3 years ago and I no longer have any association with them. I left my position on good terms in both cases.

How good are you at managing things and building
Time management is good, time available is a different story as asip knows. Building is something I like to do, but I wouldn't say I'm the best, however I am getting better and learning new techniques all the time.

I apologise for the second paragraph, it's a bit blargh, but I thought it was all relevant and didn't want to go over my 3 paragraph limit.

So then guys, here is my full backstory, it's available for you all to see and comment on. It is subject to change, gain additional content or lose some of the original content. It started confusing me with the two Amianne Duretsiall's so I've split it into two sections to make it easier to understand, I think I should go into more detail about the gnome's natural ability to sense and use arcane magic. The original Amianne was from a time long forgotten, which only the oldest history books have information on and thus shouldn't effect our storyline or world at all.

I'm still writing my character's backstory, I wrote the one in my application as a mock and reminder for myself. I will endeavor to complete my backstory tonight and share it with you all. However I have first to write a backstory for Slik'ore and the elven Amianne. Only then can gnomish Amianne have a true backstory. I'm 3/4 of the way through Slik'ore and Amianne's shared backstory.

Note: As you may have guessed I am going to be playing a mage.

Why do you want to join: I've been searching for something like this for a while. I've played D&D twice once as a player and once as a DM and I enjoyed the creativity of a game driven directly by the players imagination. I would like to bring this to minecraft.
Character's Name: Amianne Duretsiell

Character's Race(Now I know people like certain races but I will list the races out a bit below): Gnome

Character's Backstory: Amianne Duretsiell was the name of a famous eleven mage, famous for slaying the dark lord, Slik'ore, she was a beautiful even in her death by Slik'ore's plague. She left only a legacy, her only kin were the trees that she grew up around. Hearing this tale a young gnome, no older than 17, she changed her name to that of the eleven legend and set off for adventure. Over the years she has gained scars and learnt some minor spells but she is much better at using her staff in melee combat. She is a kind woman who wants nothing more than to add to the legend of Ammiane Duretsiell. She has been using this alias for so long she has forgotten her own name. Her voice is gruff from all of the sorcerer's root she smokes through her medium length oak pipe. She smokes this a lot as she believes it will instill her with great magical abilities, that will enable her to perform unbelievable feats. The rest is a mystery, or I'd prefer to reveal it as I RP Amianne.

As I said in my previous post I will need to schedule this around work, so perhaps you could put me on a reserves list of some kind until I can be sure that I can play. Also I have yet to find a suitable skin, but will be on the case shortly. Haha. Because I'm a gnome.

It has a lot of potential as a server/mod. I think we could each advertise this server too if we made a video of us playing the game. If enough attention is attracted then I think that the server would/could be very successful. Or at least this type of server could be good. I'd need to know when this is going to take place well in advanced as I'll have to plan it around work if I'm to play.

I have had experience playing d&d irl and via Skype. I was a DM once and a player the second time. I've also played the d&d themed borderlands dlc. I'm very interested in this session, and was actually looking for a mod when I stumbled upon this. Let me know if this is happening as I'd happily play. I was also thinking something like technic or one of the other mod packs from technic launcher would be the best way to play d&d on mc, as they have various weapons such as the longsword etc.
