I'm surprised that that server host came up as they aren't widely known.
The advantages of a VPS/Ded server are that you have full access.
They are like renting a machine or in VPS case part of a machine.
If you are unfamiliar with Putty or Linux based systems I wouldn't recommend this option. VPS nodes usually provide less support and some VPS hosts don't even provide support at all. **Note** You will have to manually install control panels. If you don't know how to do this don't buy a VPS.
The Advantages of "prehosted server"
Prehosted servers are often optimized for minecraft. They will usually give you support and some hosts will even install plugins for you. They will usually come installed with a control panel (Tcadmin, Multicraft, McMyAdmin). No knowledge of servers are needed for this type of server.
