    Why does the chest boat texture have it's own texture for the chest instead of just using the regular chest model like the minecart does?

    The chest in the boat is 12x12, while the regular is 14x14, which means they shaved off a whole 2 pixels of width

    The boat has plenty of space for those 2 pixels, why didn't they just use the regular chest texture? Is it because the lock on the chest would clip with the player? That already happens when other things are in the boat with a player, so that can't be it

    And even if it didn't fit, why not just scale it down a little bit so it's still the same model and texture?

    The worst part is my colour picker says that some of the colours are sliiiiiiiiightly different (such as the latch being greyscale now, as if it's an attempt to 'update' the textures)

    Wow, banners! Isn't this so much nicer than the last announcement post?

    For those who aren't aware, Collage is a group dedicated to running community made texture pack events!

    The deadline is approaching! Only a month remaining to get your textures submitted!


    Common blocks needed!

    The pack is looking great, however, we REALLY need the common blocks to be retextured!

    It'll really tie the whole thing together if we can get blocks like stone, dirt, grass, deepslate, and maybe netherrack!

    If you're interested in doing even one of these, please, go for it!


    Don't have any experience with making textures? Not a problem!

    Making a texture is as simple as making a square image of a block or item - you don't even need to worry about messing with the files if you want to participate, you just need to make the texture itself!

    (The rules don't even specify that it has to be pixel art, if ya wanna get creative)

    Also, you aren't limited to just items and blocks: If you wish to make mobs, paintings, particle effects, or even the GUI, it's up for grabs if nobody has already taken it!


    Some textures do work a bit weirdly because of how the game reads it, but don't worry if you make some kind of technical error - I will help you fix it! Don't be afraid to ask for help!




    Monthly announcements are a thing now! (Just as long as I remember to make them)

    I thought it might be a cool idea if I make a list of people to @ every monthly update, so you get a notification for it - If you think this is a good idea and wanna try it out, let me know!


    This is a group, and a group is pointless without members

    I'm not sure why I haven't decided to do anything about this until now, but better late than never

    If you wish to become a member, ask either here or in the group guest book page! Members will be allowed to upload content to the group, wall posts will be reserved for official announcements

    Fun Fact: there a single off colored pixel on the stray overlay texture

    It's visibly identical to the pixel above it, but its just a tiny, tiny little pinch of RGB value different



    I have no idea why this bugs me so much, its such an absolutely tiny mistake that I'm probably never going to notice again

    Probably best the colour for soul sand valleys if you soul-ely do one texture (not optifine) since they're supposed to spawn more there iirc (as if I'm not too lazy to check)
