That's great to hear! Hope they're useful then! I can change them as you please.

It's fair to say I was inspired by FIFA Ultimate Team, being an avid player myself! Glad you like them though! Ultra Rare cards would be a great idea!

I really wanted to be a part of this, and so I took it upon myself to make some card prototypes and my own personal example. I've allocated 6 categories relative to how they are on Planet Minecraft as the stats, and a health stat. The 'score' of each stat, I decided, was the respective amount of diamonds the player has per category across their submissions, as you can see on my personal example.

I have made fully customisable Photoshop templates for all 3 card types. I really hope you like them, I spent a while putting it together!

Pretty sweet idea, sounds really fun! All the best with this, can't wait for it to kick off!

EDIT: Template-wise, I'm always able to help out!

Well done for making me laugh in literally the first couple of seconds! As the others have said, perhaps increase the step size for the main character but other than that, you've done really well.

I'm pretty sure that forum posts don't give any XP (or if they do, it must be minor). You get XP for posting creations (skins, resource packs, etc.) and those getting views/downloads/diamonds.

It doesn't really matter what it actually is - it still looks cool!

Open the image in a new tab and it'll be easy to read. It's the large resolution that makes it difficult to look at when the image is smaller.

I wouldn't only make a texture pack simply for the XP you might earn; however, if you still want to make one, I would recommend Paint.NET or GIMP (which are both free) or Photoshop (which you buy). Do not use the default Paint program on Windows machines as it doesn't support transparency.

They're both the default pack; however, he's also using a shader pack of some type to add all of the shadows. These are modded shaders and not the default Minecraft shaders introduced recently.

    Here's an example:

AnimeFanFTWI view people based on how nice they are. If they are nice, they are awesome, regardless on level, content or quality.

    Very true.

In addition, I've found plenty of quality creations from users with levels that wouldn't be considered 'high' - it just goes to show that one's level isn't a universal indicator of how good their submission will be. Everyone starts at Level 1 and has to work their way up, and it's common to find great work from lower-leveled users who are trying to get noticed.

Yeah, been experiencing it for quite a while now when writing update logs and replying to comments on my resource pack.

I wouldn't really recommend Paint as it doesn't support transparency - as such, textures like glass and all items would not be see-through (the transparent bits would be filled in with white/black).

Probably the best free software to use for this situation would be either GIMP or Paint.Net. I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 for my own pack, but that is indeed quite expensive and I was only fortunately enough to get it through a program at my school. I have used Photoshop Elements (version 8 or so) in the past, and that was fine for making a pack too, so I would recommend the newest Elements from a monetary standpoint.

Just don't get confused between Java and JavaScript - they're not the same. Minecraft uses Java, so perhaps you want to learn that instead of JavaScript?

Well, the form is just what he wants you to fill out so that you can request a drawing, and 'IGN' refers to 'In-Game Name'.

That strategy occurred to me, but I thought mathematical accuracy would be better. If I have one weakness, it's wanting everything to be perfectly accurate.

That's fair enough. They still come out alright but I guess using an external program is better.

    Good luck with your exams!

Thank you guys! I appreciate your kind words!

How do you make those images of blocks?

I actually don't use an external program to make them. What I do is make a type of in-game green-screen. I change the texture of a block to a single colour and then put that block all around the one that I want to take a picture of. I then take a screenshot and remove the background easily in photoshop!

    NEWS:

There will be no weekly competitions for the following month or so. This is due to the fact that I have my final exams fast approaching and I can't afford to focus on my YouTube channel as much. The competition will most likely resume after this time.

    Thank you for understanding!
