    I have left Planet Minecraft for good. I will no longer upload content here.

    Due to the takedown of UpdateMize o3 (formerly Luna's 1.22-mize) on 30 Sep 2024, it is clear that the UpdateMize series is not welcome by the administration of Planet Minecraft for reasons of "copyright infringement".
    The reasoning for the takedown, from the moderator whom I will keep anonymous, goes as follows:

    Mod Action: Deleted
    Reason: Copyright Issue
    Content deleted.This submission contains original Minecraft texture designs that you did not author and therefore do not have the right to distribute.

    There are many resource packs on PMC, an example of which is Golden Days - Beta Reversion for Modern Minecraft Minecraft Texture Pack (I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE CREATOR) that contain textures from Minecraft itself, and have not been removed. I have told the moderator this, yet they told me to go ahead and report packs that do not follow conduct. They did not tell me anything regarding as to how that pack is still on PMC, apart from the following message:

    Content currently hosted on PMC which violates this rule does so without the consent/knowledge of the staff team and can/should be reported. We make a good faith effort to remove content which contains plagiarized assets, regardless of whether or not those assets are meant to be "nostalgic", "retro" or to restore old/lost/outdated textures.

    This is odd - as Golden Days is a very popular pack with years of history behind it that has kept being on PMC consistently, so why isn't a pack like that, or Legacy Edition [​1.15.X] Minecraft Texture Pack (I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE CREATOR), or even UpdateMize o1, which has literally hit the hot themed texture packs in the top 5 in 2022, removed?


    The UpdateMize series has been continuously welcomed on CurseForge, Modrinth, and MCreator.

    Hence, that is the future of the series. The PMC download has been replaced with a link to the CurseForge page. If you wish to download the pack, you can view it on CurseForge. This PMC page has been kept alive solely for purposes of archival, and it will no longer be maintained any further.

    PMC's moderation shows a dangerous double-standard which sets a bad precedent and I do not wish to be involved in. Hence, not only is UpdateMize moving from PMC, but all my projects are moving from PMC as well. My PMC page is no longer maintained.

    Despite the disappointment, please do NOT pile dirt or be rude to the PMC administration. This is an issue to be treated with directness - and my directness was simply leaving a platform which does not welcome UpdateMize. During my conversation with the mod, I was treated with respect - but the removal reason was not fair and is a double-standard. PLEASE BE KIND!
