That isn't bad for your first but one thing that truly makes an organic come to life it not being symmetrical. Deer antlers do tend to be symmetrical in real life especially when viewed from a head on position, but turn the head to any degree not 45 or 90 and then it can come to life!

For a start and your first attempt, you're doing great.

Just learning basic java as others said won't get you anywhere. You have to know how to do a lot of other things based around complicated programming "concepts" called OOP and libraries. I would take a class at local college or school in programming and then look up tutorials online.

Hmmm this sounds cool. It would have to use schematics and most likely tie in with world edit but it sounds possible, I know of a rebuild plugin people use for animations on bukkit servers and that could do it but it doesn't have a Three dimensional block counting algorithm to do something like like that. So it really wouldn't be that complicated if you could find a good schematic placing plugin to tie into.

What your looking for would be like a google docs for programming, not really around as far as I know. I've always wanted something like that but I think throwing a compiler on top of a web based program like that would be hard and time consuming, also there would be a lot of lag because you would have to host the environment on a box that would have to be constantly talking to your computer.
